Good Evening All.....

Thanks for all the well wishes for Brian. I will respond individually tomorrow. He is fine. He actually got over the injury quickly and was able to play again tonight. They won again 6 - 0. This team was not all that great. That have two more competitive games next week (Monday and Weds) and then that ends the soccer season. Delaware is such a small state that it doesn't take much to make it into the state tournament, so it will be interesting to see where we rank by this time next week. Then they practice hard for another week to 10 days and then start the state tournament. The farthest we've made it was the finals and 2nd place and that was when Brian was in 8th grade (he was on the tournament team starting in 8th grade, but never actually played much until last year - 10th grade). Last year we made it to the semi finals. It would be so great if we made it all the way to the finals this year. We'll see.

Anyway, we all help out at concessions and we are all responsible for restocking a certain item. My item is soda. I learned that people drink three times more coke than sprite. I was surprised. So, I will have plenty of sprite left over at the end of the season, but I am out of coke.

OK - boring .......anyway......I am off tomorrow, so I hope to do that tree of life update! Yeah!!!!!!!

Glad to hear that Brian felt better so quickly! Congrats on another win:yay: Here's hoping that they a make it to the finals :cheer2:

Hi, Mary Ellen! Just read your entire TR! Thanks for taking the time to post so much info and pictures. It is a great read. :)

WOO HOO! Congrats on the win.

Sorry about Brian's injury. Here's hoping he can play tomorrow!

Thanks LL! He recovered pretty quickly. What was interesting is that there was very little written about the game in our local newspaper. All the parents were a little disappointed. Oh well.

:yay: for Brian's team and hope he is doing better and will be able to play.
Can't wait to see your TOL montage....sometimes you just feel so rushed going through there and I love to stop and look around.

Thank for the good wishes. I hope to have the TOL pictures posted tonight!

Just want to echo my congrats on the win!! That is HUGE!!!!! Glad Brian wasn't injured to severely and I hope he's able to play!!!

Thanks! It was pretty exciting. And brian is doing fine, as you know. Thanks for the good thoughts.

Yay for the team's win!!! I hope Brian gets better and gets to play! That is a really big deal!

Thanks! Brian is doing great and we are all so excited about the win.

WOW! That is huge, I am SO happy for him, you, the school. I would imagine that Brian feels that bruised rib was well worth it!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thank! I know Brian was so excited to have that win! He just regrets not being able to play the second half of the second half. He is ready for next weeks games!

What a great win!!! Hope Brian is feeling better -- I could just visualize that collision in my head, and it wasn't pretty!

Oh yeah .....it was just like watching a train come down the track....pow! Running into that goalie was like running into a brick wall. Ughhhh!

Hope Brian feels better in time to play. Congrats on the win!

Denise

Thank you .....and thank you! It is a fun, but crazy busy time right now!

Ok I'm catching up but still behind 1/2 way...:lmao: so some of these comments will probably sound off topic...but here goes...

1. Love the character's costumes at Cape May Cafe...so cute...have to go there for breakfast...:goodvibes

Aren't they great! I have been there three times and love it everytime. Plus the staff there is so nice! And the Beach Club ambiance....Need I say more????

2. Turf toe...does not sound pleasant...at all...:confused3

TGF Antibiotics, that's all I can say!

3. the Beach Club Photos...:cloud9:...I love the Beach Club...it's my dream resort...I hope to buy DVC points and I'd like them there...(If not in the next year-at least within the next 3)..our next Dis trip is next October...and my inlaws have graciously agreed to pick up the tab for the Wilderness Lodge since it's DD's 16th...so I really can't complain-it's pretty nice of them..:thumbsup2

I love the BC too. I think it is such a cool resort and I can't wait to stay there. I would love to have points there, but when I add on I don't know if it makes sense to buy there or stick with SSR.

:cool1: for the Wilderness Lodge. We are staying in the WL villas in May, so I will make sure to take lots of pictures for you!!!!! I feel in love with the WL when we had dinner there in September, so I put it as my top request for May and I got it!!!!! Artist point was fab....if you haven't eaten there, you must! I haven't got to that part of my TR yet, so stay tuned.

And how NICE of your inlaws to pay for the trip - that is awesome!

4. Lovely, lovely photos in World Showcase...kind of make me melancholy...wish I was there...

Thanks! I know what you mean about being melancholy. I feel so lucky to be able to travel twice a year to Disney world. It doesn't feel so far away when I know my next trip is in 6 months!

Do we have and Brian or soccer news?

Ask......and you shall receive.........

Glad to hear that Brian felt better so quickly! Congrats on another win:yay: Here's hoping that they a make it to the finals :cheer2:

Thanks Dawn. Oh....I hope that make it to the finals, too! I feel like since they beat the #1 team, anything is possible! :thumbsup2

Congrats on another win for Brian's team!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Jackie! Every win helps get them a higher ranking for the tournament. The higher the ranking, the better chance they have of making it to the finals! :thumbsup2

Congrats on another win! Hope they make it all the way! Can't wait for the TOL pix!!

Thanks Erin! We are excited to be one step closer to the state tournament. That's the great thing about being in a small state. We have less competition so we are always in the state tournament to some degree. And the soccer network is pretty tight, so you always see people you know. It's a soccer thing. My only beef is I hate when the weather is cold and rainy!

I just noticed that I think my ticker must be off by a day....It says 6 months and 2 days, but I can't make my ADR's until November 3, which is Tuesday. What's up with that??????? I better recalculate things again!

So.....the Tree of Life......ah, the beautiful, majestic Tree of Life. I have been to Disney 11 times, but this was the FIRST time I actually took the time to really explore, marvel, gaze at, and ponder the Tree of Life.

So.......Does anyone know exactly how many Animals are "carved" into the TOL? Does anyone want to take a guess? I won't reveal the answer until a later post. I will tell you that when the artists made the animals for the TOL they only had 6 - 10 hours to work sculpt each one before the plastic dried.

So here are just a few..........

State tourney! Very exciting! I hope the team continues to play well!

Your tree of life pictures are awesome! So many details. I need to get more up close and personal with that area of the park....
Thanks for sharing!

Who knew! I had a similar epiphany today regarding powdered versus chocolate donuts.

I know - I have never seen any of them upclose. I have more to show. I just got distracted with other things last night. I will post more tonight!

thanks! there are actually more than 200 animals on the tree. I will reveal the total number soon.

Actually, I can! Or voice or composition or conducting.... Aren't you also a musician?

Seriously? that is awesome. I am an amateur musician. I don't have a college degree in music , although I often wish I had persued music formally. I play the flute and guitar (very badly) and sing. The only formal training I have is flute. I am a pastoral musician in a catholic church, but since I don't play organ/piano, I am mostly volunteer. I get occasional paying jobs as a cantor for weddings / funerals. I really love classical music because of my flute background, but anything I compose is folk / soft pop. I would love to have formal training in composition. Sometimes I feel like I am right on the verge of becoming a decent composer, but I don't know how to get to that place.

Anyway - totally off topic, but if you are interested, take a listen to John's Song. It's a link to the you tube video. I wrote it for my friend's son who died a year ago. Its bare bones recording, but it gives you an idea of what type of music I write.

Thanks for the vote of confidence for the team.

I'm glad you like the TOL pics. They are my second favorite group of pictures (with EE being first). I think every disney fan should take some time to explore that TOL. It really is visionary.

Who knew! I had a similar epiphany today regarding powdered versus chocolate donuts.

:rotfl2: Oh....chocolate donuts all the way!

LOVE the TOL pictures. I can't believe your ADR day is Tuesday!

Thanks! .....and yeah re: ADR's! :cool1: I went on line today just to do a trial run and see waht's available. for some reason it was impossible to get a Sanaa ADR. I wonder, do you have to call for that one??????

Cool animal carvings!!!

Aren't they great? :thumbsup2

Wow, awesome photos of all the animals in the Tree of Life! :thumbsup2 I have no idea how many animals are carved, and I don't feel like googling it, so I'll wait for your answer! :confused3
