You finally found Spot!! We've been frantically searching for Spot since our Contemporary stay!! She has so been looking forward to the podcast cruise!!
Yay!!! We're so relieved!!![]()
This might sound odd but I'd rather have a snake in my room than roaches or palmetto bugs.![]()
+1
I only hope they were safely moved elsewhere and the eggs weren't lost, but that's probably not the case once they're touched by human hands, right?
I worked for vets for over 12 years and we did reptiles, but I've never dealt with snake eggs, but believe that they stay with their nest (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). We did lots of turtles at the clinic, and our doctor (who used to be the doc for the local wildlife rescue), would bring the turtles in, have them lay their eggs (because usually they would go to lay them off of a really busy road), keep the eggs in soil in a tupperware container (this is sort of the way they are anyway in the wild........the females lays them in dirt and buries them), released the female, and then once the eggs hatched he would release them at the state park where hopefully they could live a safe, long life. We saw all sorts of turtles..........box, snapping, sliders, etc.......+1
it's Florida. I expect strange things like this to happen. I'm surprised we've never had lizards with all the little guys I see running around there. Overall not a big deal, really.

Talked to mother -in -law this morning. She is a co-worker to the family staying in the room. She said they don't recall the room number but it was on the second floor. I guess the snake took the elevator.![]()

That's surprising to read it went to the 2nd floor.
