Group 34 here - do the shoes generally tend to sell out on Day 1? Friends are arriving tomorrow and one is interested in whatever model the Adrenalines are

Fun times last night. Ended up with a dry run for the upcoming early wake up calls. The AC unit in my room decided to pitch a fit at 2:30. Maintenance came out and pronounced it dead at 3:00 and said I needed to change rooms. Fortunately, one was available in the same building. Not a particularly well-rested camper this morning.

oof, I'm sorry. I woke up a little before 3:30 to my son's face in my face. I guess he woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep. I took him back to bed, he fell asleep eventually - I did not.

And this is why he's sleeping at his grandparents' the day before the marathon.

Well this is going to be interesting to see how they planned for wheelchair people if they planned for us at all.

I could not even really see the Dopey merch. I think that's part of the problem because nobody knows what what they may want until they get up there and can see it all. I just left and the gold people were inside and the line was completely filling the entire side of the room. I don't know where they are going to put everyone when they open it to the public.

Platinum is usually let in right at 7:30, but there was mass confusion with the lines outside and they didn't get everybody wrist banded until after access time. So everything is running a little bit behind for platinum and gold. *p.s. thank you @DianaMB333 for flagging me down and letting me join you!

If you're coming for shoes, the good news is that almost nobody was in line for them yet. I was able to walk right up and get exactly what I wanted with no wait.

So the Dopey merch is indeed being done like club, with a dedicated line. The rest of the expo is calm because everyone is in line for Dopey merch.

It sounds like Disney tried to solve a problem with a sledgehammer. Typical! I am soooo incredibly happy that I am not doing Dopey this year.

I can confirm that you cannot get a VQ for a plane. I just hope that the merch isn't so clogged by Dopey people that it messes up the 1 p.m. drop.

If anyone can get photos of the weekend and/or half merch, I would really appreciate it.

There were LOTS of higher level rD CMs in the merch area this morning taking notes, and I heard them talking to several attendees giving suggestions. So they do seem to be listening!
