I see that there is a FAQ for PO resort.

Could the moderators (or whomever does this) set up 2 for this?

One for Riverside and one for French Quarter.

Thanks

Good idea! I always read the new posts on the PO faq thread to find out new info about POFQ- it would be easier if they were separate.

Good idea!...... :hyper:

I think it is for anyone to do. We could all pool our info together and start our own....I wont be going until June so I am not going to be much help until then...Sorry.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I just switched my ressie (again) to POFQ and I wanted some info on it.

It is not the moderators that start these topics. Someone would need to volunteer to start the FQ faq and add information to it. Once it is up and running you can ask a moderator to stick it at the top of the board with the other Resort boards.

So then, can this be the start. :p

My first question, who is going next week and will be able to give us an update upon their return?:D :D

Crusindon asks:

We have never stayed here before. Do any of you have a favorite room number or area of this resort that you prefer?

I will be there at the end of next week. I'll post when I return.

PERFECT!!!!!

This is the Start of the New French Quarter FAQ!!!

I'm going on April 7-13 and will accumulate as much info as I can and post when I return.

I'll be there in June for my honeymoon. I'll be looking forward to hanging around here with all of you!

We'll be there in May and will look forward to reading all your comments.

Please let us know if Bonfamille's has reopened or if the food court has changed.

Also did you see the pictures from Deb Wills site, looks like she received a preview.

Hi,

We're staying at FQ the first week of May. We stayed at POR last year, and in the sink area they had a metal shelf of some sort, about 5 feet long, with a bar underneath to hold hanging clothes.

I don't see one of these in the new FQ pictures...can anyone tell me if FQ ever had one? We used the heck out of the one at POR...We stored all of our luggage on top, and I hung all of my clothes on the bar.

Also, if your child has one of those hanging "clothes tower" things, bring it with you. They are devided into all the days of the week, and we put out all of Jeffrey's clothes for the entire trip on the first day...saved tons of time in the morning searching for matching outfits, socks, etc. My husband even used it. We hung it on that bar in the sink area, so I'm hoping FQ has that shelf!

I just looked at the pics on allearsnet.com and you can't quite see the rack, but you can see a hanger with the Mickey Laundry bag hanging up.

So I would assume there is a rack. Not sure if it is metal or not. I remember the ice bucket and glasses were on this.

But did you see the hair dryer. Yipppppppeeee don't have to bring mine from home.

LoveMickey--

Hair dryers are great...but if they REALLY want to get me excited they'll provide straightening irons in all the rooms, lol!

LoveMickey,

To answer your question about location, there really isn't a bad one. It is no more than five minutes to walk to food court, bus, pool no matter where you're room is located. We don't care to be near the pool because it is a little noisier. But our only requests for December are non-smoking, not facing a parking lot, and we prefer third floor. Yes, it's a little further to walk, but you get less foot traffic by your room. If you choose not to put in any requests, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Have a great time!

Thanks soccer mom...
Sounds like you should be our resident expert (or at least one of them)!!:teeth:

Thank you all.

I can't wait to be there. Even more so now, since we got a foot of snow yesterday/last night.

Last year on St. Patrick's day we saw the Grumpy Leprechauns (sp).

Ariel Wanna-be:

I did not see an ironing boards either. Last December at Riverside they were under the rack near the wall safe. We can only hope.

Moderators: Can we move this to the FAQ thread at the top of the first page?

Hi LoveMickey!

I meant a straightening iron for my hair :D ! I pack things I don't have to iron, but I just gotta get those curls out of the tresses! Of course, if they did have regular irons in the rooms I could just iron my hair flat like my mom did in the 70's!

We'll be there in May, what about you? We had originally booked POR, but when the DV codes came out, there was nothing available at Riverside, so we switched to FQ. At first I was bummed because we really liked POR, but the more I read about FQ the more excited I became. I think it will be great...this thread is a wonderful idea.

Does anyone know if they have also redone the pool?
