Has anybody ever won free tickets From Disney and tried to upgrade?
I won a 5 day pass and would like to upgrade to 10 day Parkhopper.

You might be able to upgrade but it's possible that you'll actually be paying the full cost of the 10-day ticket. Some promo tickets cannot be upgraded at all, but if you can, Disney knows how much you paid for them ($0 in this case) and normally only credits you with that much, not the current full gate price.....

It never hurts to ask, though.

Perhaps you could sell the 5-day on e-bay, and just buy a parkhopper.

I won them thru Alamo.ca

I won tickets through Alamo.com last year (part of a vacation package that included a resort room, airfare and a rental car). They were 5 day tickets with hopping and a 14-day expiration and no-plusses.

The tickets were labelled as "Complimentary". Thus they had no value. Because they had no value, they could NOT be upgraded. I specifically asked this of several CMs and got the definative answer from a manager at the AKL.

Congratulations on the win. I think I remember that contest. It sounded similar to the one that I won, except that it was only open to Canadians. If the trip is similar to mine, you will have a blast. A top notch vacation with no-strings attached (except the taxes that had to be paid on the ARV of the prize).
