FREE GREEN & PINK Pop Fridge Swap - Timeslots available in Fall/Winter 2009

I think that putting info on at least 2 sides is a great idea, I was going to print out 2 pages for the green fridge swap I'm on in November. I did pm the person b4 me and after but have yet to here from them. I agree that the more info we have and the more info we put on the box the better it is. Hope to hear from the people in the green fridge swap so I can have my info available to print out b4 I leave (like to be prepared!)

When I had the "Pink" Fridge in July it didn't come in a box... This is what it looked like:

When I joined the Fridge Swap last year both Fridges were the same. The Green Fridge I had came with a freezer in the top. It was small but fit a few waterbottles in it. I believe they were black fridges but they were rectangular in shape. That photo looks more square shaped to me. The inside did not have that bottle shelf thing on the door either.

Back in Feb. I did the "green" fridge and it was a tall fridge. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that both fridges were the same. So I was very surprised when I received this one in July... But it had the info of the person before me and my info on it so I just assumed it had to be the right one. I guess at some point they got mixed up

Looks like the Pink one got changed for a smaller one without a freezer.

When I get the Green Fridge in just over a week I will take a picture. Then we can see if another group has the original Pink Fridge.

Hi Everyone!

I am finally catching up with the DIS after our 10-day vacation in WDW. My fiance and I really appreciated the use of the Pink fridge during our trip, although it was a bit of an issue to find it!

The Case of the Lost Pink Pop Fridge
We were really bummed to hear that the fridge had been lost. We were counting on it, since we usually stop by the local Wal-Mart to stock it with water and soda.

We went to Luggage Services and explained the situation of the "lost Pink Pop fridge," and to cover our bases, I told them EVERYTHING I knew about it... including the fact that we were able to join the swap late because someone had dropped out (so the fridge might be listed under the wrong name/dates), and that the fridge box has some "hot pink paper" on the sides.

We tipped the Luggage Services CM to do "a thorough search" for it. I cannot say how much I stressed that to him. I may have flirted a little too. After 15 minutes, he came out of the back with a fridge on a rolling cart! The box said "Pink Pop" on the sides and looked right. We were so thrilled that he found it!!

Basically, the pink fridge box had the wrong reservation information taped on the lid. Without posting those personal details, we will state that it had the information of a fridge swapper that dropped out, meaning that the prior fridge swapper hadn't gotten the updated memo on the dropout.

As fridge swappers, we need to be careful about having the MOST updated information before we leave for our vacations. Perhaps we should tape the information on the side as well? There needs to be a better policy on this, otherwise we will end up with lost fridges.

We bought a new roll of clear packing tape and we left it inside the fridge. Cut the pieces of packaging tape you need and please leave the tape roll in the fridge before you seal the box lid.

The box lid is pretty banged up and we wanted to make sure that the lid/swap info is taped on properly in the future. There is a white Mr. Coffee coffeemaker inside the fridge too. We always tip Luggage Services to take the fridge to and from our room.

We also took several pictures of the Pink fridge and its box, and I will post them for all of you soon.

We hope to use the Pink fridge on our next stay at Pop Century.

YAY for the finding of the PINK fridge!! That was some serious determination. I loved your engagement photos. I got a little teary eyed for how wonderful that must have been for both of you.

I am new to the disboards and have now become addicted to Disney World after our 2 week stay in August.

I am looking to stay at Pop Century and would like to know if the fridge is still available Dec17-29.

I can't send a PM yet because I don't have enough posts and I tried a visitor message, but I don't know if that worked either.

So if anyone can help me I would really appreciate knowing what to do :-D
