Free Flights on AirTran with cups at Wendy's

hey i need 118 cups ASAP!!! please help me out, im 15 years old and im trying to collect them to take my dad out of town for his birthday...i will pay for then ...Please Help Me!!!!!...you can email me at masonberle at yahoo

If your only 15 you are not even eligible unless you are using an adults AirTran A+ account.

I thought you were only allowed to do up to two roundtrips?

Can I use my A+ rewards for up to 6? Can I book flights for other people with that account? I'd like to use them for my dad and sister for an upcoming WDW trip if possible.

Right now I only have 128, because I thought that was the max allowed.

I should have clarified...I have sent in and gotten credit for 2 trips to my account and 2 trips to my husbands account and the last one that I will be submitting is for my mother's account, she lives with us.

I collected enough cups for a roundtrip for myself but, I was thinking about buying some coupons off ebay for my son who is 7 but, has a A+ Rewards account. On the official rules it states "Offer open only to consumers who have an AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account and are 18 years of age or older as of 11/1/05". Has anyone had points credited to a childs account??? I would like to know before I purchase them and they can't be credited to his account...

How about getting one of his grandparents to open an A+ account? They could deposit the coupons and get the credit. Then the grandparent can make a reservation for him.
I called AirTran and they told me that as long as the original A+Rewards member places the reservation, they may reserve a trip for someone other than themselves.

So, what if I deposit the coupons into my account? I can then make a reservation for him??? The flight doesn't have to be in the same name as the account holder?

Right, you can book someone else for a flight using your A plus points.

Call AirTran Rewards (1-888-3-APLUS-8) to be sure.

All I know is that we could only get 4 RT tickets with myself and DH's accounts (2 each) and I asked the Airtran customer service person could I have give the 5th set of 64 coupons to the grandmother and let her buy the 5th ticket for her grandchild.

The customer service person said, yes, as long as she calls to make the child's reservation when you're ready to book the flight.

The official rules state that the program can be ended at any time if the integrity of the program is breached. Dumpster diving, buying hundred of cups at a time, selling them on eBay. Makes me nervous. I have 128 I am sending in this week and I am very nervous that they will pull the deal. Anyone else nervous?
IMHO, I would think that they would only end it if something like counterfeiting would happen. I don't think they mean about the dumpster diving, etc. Heck, they are getting alot of "free publicity" from this marketing program that they probably never counted on. I'm not nervous...I am sending 128 in this week also.

Two of my friends were trying to finish up theirs, they needed 90 between the two of them. They found some on Ebay and of course it got pulled. They had gotten the e-mail address because he said that he had more of them.

They e-mailed him and bought the 90 that they needed. I think they were delivered yesterday so they are sending them in.

Do you happen to know the information on who they got the coupons from? I need a few more and the ebay auctions keep getting pulled!

I just called AirTran to redeem my points for travel vouchers so I could book my flights. Here's what I found out about the 1 year time limit on using your Wendy's points:

* You have one year from the day your 64 points POST TO YOUR ACCOUNT to use up those credits by requesting a travel voucher.

~ but ~

* You have one year from the day you REQUEST A TRAVEL VOUCHER to use up that voucher.

So that means you could actually take nearly TWO YEARS to take your free flights

For example, if my points posted on Jan. 1, 2006 I could wait until Dec. 31, 2006 to call and request a voucher. Then that voucher dated Dec. 31, 2006 would have an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2007.

So basically, you'd have (max) from Jan 1, 2006 until Dec. 31, 2007 to take your free flight: that's nearly 2 years.

This might help some of you who aren't planning on flying till next year!!

For anyone who is interested...

I mailed Airtran two envelopes of vouchers about 10 days ago. The accounts were credited yesterday! Not bad considering Airtran is telling people its taking 4 weeks on average. I was able to request a travel voucher and book the flight I wanted, but when I called back to book a 2nd passenger, the flight was already full (as far as A plus availability went). :(

Your best bet is to book WAY in advance, b/c the A plus seats fill up fast, especially w/ so many people redeeming vouchers!

Thanks Trixiezzz that helps me some, I was unable to get the total 4 RT tickets I needed I only aquired 1 rt and 1/2 and was debating on selling them on ebay...not sure what I will do, but it's good to know if I decide to keep them I will have time to use them, since we are not traveling this year but maybe 2007.

I am getting married in May, and my folks live 2,000 miles away. They didn't think they would be able to come, because money has been tight, and the tickets were going to be over $600. I saw this forum today, and figured out that if I went out and bought enough for 2 round trip tickets, it would only cost around $160. So... I called Wendy's to make sure it was still going on, called Air Trans, and sure enough, they verified the info I found here. My guy and I jumped in the car, and ran to every Wendy's in the city. I am now the proud owner of 128 cups!!! I'm sending them in tomorrow... and when I called my mum, she nearly cried. They wanted to come so badly. Thanks, everyone, especially the OP. You've made my family so happy!!!

PS - We're honeymooning in Disneyworld!!! Only 124 days to go!!
