Free Flights on AirTran with cups at Wendy's

Their are two generations of cups. Old ones say 12/31 new ones say 2/05... so you will have some extra time if you are still colllecting cups

the taxes in the us are only about $5.00 so about 84 plus 5 is 89 for a roundtrip ticket. the taxes to cancan are about 55-60 $$$ not more than that
also the person trying for march it is prime time about all month I just paid $268.90 on SWA from philly to mco .for march 12-17 and last year I paid $232.00 same time on SWA and I checked the fares almost every day from dec till trip time. I am saving my airtran for cancun

yea.. i know its primetime.... i got my ticket though! leaving Buffalo march 23 and returning march 29!! all for 10.00!! its 5.00 per one way.... all my hard work paid off and i'm going to disney for pretty much free! hotel and ticket paid for as well!! ) plus going to see the Braves play the Yankees at the sport complex! going to be a GREAT vacation!!!

me if we could collect the cups and give the points to Make a Wish or some other foundation that uses airlines?? I have no idea???!! I wonder if Wendys would let her stand there and ask for cups that are being thrown away for Make a Widh if they can use the airfare. I know other airlines will let you donate your points. I should call and find out....

I'll have to watch out for the new generation then! I sure hope this is true!
We have a friend that is in prison in Florida, and have been trying to figure a way to visit him again...just don't know any other way we'll be able to afford it other than next to nothing for the travel down. I got a late start on this, but with all of the great ideas I've seen here, I think I can do it fairly quickly!

I'm just hearing about this promotion. I called my Wendy's and all she said was that they are out of the Medium sized cups and are running out of the Large size fast. I asked if I could purchase a bunch and she said no. I'm considering Ebay. I live in Arkansas.

Same here. My local Wendy's has been serving medium drinks in the plain yellow cups for about a week. And then today, I ordered a Biggie drink ~ and it was served in a blue AirTran cup with coupon.

So check those biggie drinks before you give up looking!

I want to thank all of you for your info...I was just about to give up collecting these. I only had 25 and 20 came from me eating out. I don't think I could eat there another day LOL I was concerned about the taxes and did not think it would be worth it to purchase, or dumpster dive for the remaining ones, but you guys have convinced me it is worth it. Thanks again I am charged up and ready to go to the finish line.

One tip that might help. Along with my food & drink order, I've been asking for a Biggie Water. They don't bat an eye, and have always given me one (in an AirTran cup) for free!

So if yours does the same, that will cut the number of meals you have to eat there in half!

Just so you all know... i booked a flight with my free credits and it cost me 10.00 roundtrip!!! and it worked out nicely! It is tricky to book the flights... first you have to go online and request a voucher.. then call and book the flight... we couldn't get a flight into orlando on the day we wanted so we took a few extra days and flew into Jacksonville... gonna meet up with my mom and stepfather.. then drive to Orlando with them... then we are flying out of orlando... worked out nicely! My suggestion to you is to call before requesting the voucher to make sure there are seats left on the flight you need! we are staying in WDW March 23-29... now to choose the hotel... i think this is the cheapest trip to Disney yet!!!

Please explain this to me as I've never done it:

1) After you've gone online and requested a voucher, do you have to wait to receive it by mail? And then, once received you call and book the flight?

Or do you get the voucher via email?

2) Once you receive your voucher, is there a deadline for using it? (I know the points expire 1 yr after they're credited to you, how about the voucher?)

We haven't set the dates of our trip yet, but could work around the blacked out dates if I knew what they were ahead of time.

I have just enough for one round trip ticket...now to work on the second one.
I have been in the store when there have been people asking others for cups, and to me it seemed like they were being annoying. I usually get 5-10 each time I go, but that's by looking in the top of the garbage can and picking them out. I still have quite a ways to get that second ticket, and I'm getting concerned I won't make it
I'm not above dumpster diving, but I'm curious as to what the ramifications on that could be if I get caught?!? I can see the "headlines" now: Dumpster Diving Pastor's Wife ARRESTED!

You recieve the voucher via email... they have been telling people that it taked a day or two but i revieved mine within minutes of requesting it..

Yes there are blackout dates... but there are also only a limited amount of seats on the plane for A+ rewards members. I called Air tran lots of times before we set our finial dates and booked them. Air tran people were VERY nice.. they will help you with whatever you need!!!

I sent in 64 coupons in 2 envelopes. I just checked Airtran's website and they only credited me 15.8 credits! Arrrgh! My wife and I each counted them several times before we sent them off. I'll try calling them but I don't know what proof we have. I suppose I'll have to send in a few more!

I just booked May 27th for both DH and I using our Airtran/Wendy's vouchers-that's the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I called and the A+ rep told me that only Friday,the 26th and Monday,the 29th are blackout days. I was surprised that we were able to book as that kinda starts the summer season.

Yesterday, DH and I went to 4 local Wendy's....1 said yes we could dumpster dive, 2 said no and 1 said I'm going to the bathroom, so we hit it. It was a slow day for them because we only came up with 57 from these 2. The 1 that said no is always busy and had bags sticking out the top of the dumpster. Boy was I tempted to get in but there were 3 cops hanging out, and I did not want to get arrested for trespassing . Those 2 that have let us we will be going back because I need 3 more roundtrips .

For those of you who want to, just go in ask for the manager and quietly make your request. I will update you later on my progress.

I just stopped by one today and they still had the cups. I so want to ask if I can dumpster dive! I'm not sure if I'm too wimpy to do it though. It's probably worth it though if they go somewhere I want to go. Do you know when they have to be booked by and when they expire?

I went to the Wendy's by my house tonight and they are getting rid of the cups So we were able to purchase the last 25 that we needed. This manager has sold up to 120 to some folks. I wish we would have gotten this manager before!! The other ones would not let us do that

Now I have to tell this story. My mom said no one would believe what we did.... I said the people on DIS would!! Twice...... we were driving down the road and saw Airtran cups of the side of the road! So for one we turned around and went back for it and the other was at a stop sign Hey free is free!!!!

Debating on wether to start for another round trip. Cups are drying up around here.
