We have an airline credit that I can use for the airfare. For our 8 day trip we have 11 table service reservations so if I check in 3 days early all of our dining is covered. We are a family of four who are all considered adults under the dining plan at 55.56 x 4 x 11 so the savings is much greater than the room discount. I thought I would tell the resort we had an unplanned situation and that no one would be in the room until the 5th.

If it will save you money, I say go for it, but I would just stay there and enjoy a solo vacation for a few days.

Nope. I got FD for my October trip via PIN. I'm just here to help people and enjoy everyone's happiness.

I do have my very own "tickets go on sale to the public Aug. 1" bit of excitement, though, but that is just for tickets to a college football game.

Just to be clear, you will be doing a room only for the 27-29 (meaning the nights of the 27th and 28th), right? Early ticket pickup info can be found in post #15 section I of this thread...

Tomorrow is going to be an EARLY stressful morning waking up at 6am (Central time) to call for FD AND for a room discount (for the few days before FD!) The anxiety is killing me! I can't wait until it is done and over with!

NOT tOSU. We are University of Dayton fans. Actually, we are more than just fans. Last year we took over the planning and execution of the team's annual awards banquet. Over 300 players, coaches and families to take care of. We are playing @ Youngstown State for the first game of the year. DH and I will be making the 4 hour trip for the game. The kids don't get to go because it is on a school night, so we get to go by ourselves. A very rare treat for us.

I finally talked DH into getting a DV so we could get FD early. I called Chase and it seems that if we get instantly approved, we will not know the number until we receive the card. But they did say you could purchase things on-line through the disney visa website. Would I be able to book tomorrow morning? Or is all hope lost. (Y'all are the ONLY ones who would not see that statement as a dramatice statement.)

Disney Visa offer will be by telephone only.

Can you think of anyway to get the number earlier? I want to get FD confirmed before I purchase airfare, and the best day to do that is Tues.

Unfortunately, they will not give you the number over the phone because of security reasons. It **might** be possible to put a room on hold with the discount until your card arrives. Did you ask them to express ship it?

I've already arranged to go in later to work on Aug 1st so I can call at 7am! Those extra days from visa offer to GP are going to kill me. Wish we had Chase in our small town.

Yes, you can call starting at 7am. Technically, the CM is correct. If the Visa offer comes out as predicted tomorrow, it will state right on the offer the date that it will be released to the public.
