Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

Hi, just a quick question, is there any further news about the dates extending for last week in August or are they definitely off the menu. Will the deal being released on 1st August be the Magic your way package or will it also be offered to UK visitors with the 14 day ultimate pass? Any thoughts?

I seem to recall when I applied for mine there was an option to rush order it. I am sure it cost extra, but not sure how much. Might be too late though if it is already being processed.

I just ordered mine on Friday- asked the guy signing me up and he said he is pretty sure it would be here before the 29th- but no guarantees.

Ok guys need some advice here, we have a package booked at POFQ from Dec 9 to Dec 17, with 6 day MYW tickets and Disney Dining Plan already for 4 of us. Question is for us to take advantage of this offer, would we have to have two ressies and two lots of park tickets? For each part? We can't change dates so that is not an option. Any advice will be much lay appreciated, as saving anything would be great. Thanks in advance.

We are booked at POFQ from nov 8-18 . Free dining. Split res. room only for 3 days then 7 days myw with free dining

Last year I had reservations for Oct. at POFQ. When I called to add the FD offer to my package, it was sold out. ..... I did not call right when it was released, probably a week or so afterwards. I kept my reservation anyway without FD. A couple days later I went online to see if anything had opened up and BAM, there it was!!!!! There's always hope!

I'm reading all the talk about calling first thing on 8/29 when the free dining is announced for DV cardholders. Can someone explain why there is a rush to call first thing on 8/29? I was under the impression that the deal was supposed to be offered to the public as well......Am I missing something?

General public offer is on Aug 1. Which means that DV cardholders get first shot at rooms that are in high demand and low supply. More than likely the standards that are offered and cheaper will go first as well offerings at POFQ, Epcot area Deluxes, and the NEMO suites at AoA. There will still be rooms available later in the three DV cardholders days and the public release on Aug 1, it just probably won't be any of those.

Some people really want those rooms, including me. LOL so I will be up bright and early on the 29 to see if I can snag POFQ.

I hope you are correct on the free Dining for October.... I am so excited, but afraid cause it is not official yet. My boys eat like horses ...boy would that keep everyone happy on our vacation,,,let's all keep our fingers crossed. Another website is very annoying, as it predicted back in May, that there would not be discounts this Oct-Dec at all! I sure hope they are wrong!

We check in on the 28th. If they did change it so it starts the 29th that is going to be a bummer. We'll have to discuss and see what we will do. Don't want to risk having to change rooms.

if you pay for one more night in hotel, it gives you the whole vacation with free dining...so worth it! Good Luck!

You will probably not have to call early to get what you want, people are just afraid that they won't. I just booked POFQ garden view last week with free dinning in Sept and that offer has been out quite a while. I even booked for 11 nights.

Yeah it's the panic that always happens. Some are on hold for an hour and that makes them think there are thousands of callers and it just goes on and on from there. Truth is, with few exceptions, rooms will be available weeks and even months later. Sure some room types may sell, and maybe a popular resort like French quarter, but there aren't as many calling as there might seem.

All that said, the only way to guarantee to get something if you're very specific about wanting one type of room at one type of resort, then it's a good idea to call. If you're flexible about changing resorts if necessary, then no worries.

If you check in when it is offers you will receive it for your full stay, up to 14 nights.

I see its your 30th Wedding Anniversary trip! Congratulations!! We will be there for our 30th Anniversary on Oct 29.

Kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. September FD ends sept 25 and can book until July 31 if you can check in then. Also food and wine starts the 27th and probably had sufficient bookings for that weekend. If you have to check in on the 27th could do RO for two nights and then do MYW package for check in on the 29th for FD the rest of your stay provided you have a min of 3 nights and 2 day base ticket min for everyone. Some one can explain better how to manage/ pick up tickets early. Or you could check in the 29th if that is possible. Good luck! Others please clarify if I missed something. Good luck!
