I really feel so badly for those who are finding their dates are not included. That would be so devastating to me. Hopefully something will work out for you, maybe a room only with broader dates??

This is great news and what I was waiting for! I already booked for October 19-26 hoping that there would be a discount for this time but also limited by when we could go. If I had to bite the bullet on it I was preparing for that but now that dining will be free I don't have to worry about it anymore. Can't wait to call have them update my reservation for FD! Now just need to wait for the official news. Hopefully these dates work out some magic for everyone else as well.

Yes! The same source for free dining also mentioned a RO discount to be released around the same time!!!!

Yeah!! I save more with a Room discount and this means I can maybe stay at a deluxe for my birthday!!

Does this mean that I can't get the discount if I need tickets? I would need two ressie as I was thinking of doing a cruise in the middle of my trip so I would only need to buy tickets on one ressie.

I will have some decisions to make. Our initial plan was to stay off property for another event on the 18th and the 19th, then move over to ASMu on the 19th, and stay through the 22nd. That's only two nights. And we'd only planned on buying one park ticket and one party ticket to cover two of our three days, and then go to DTD on the day we fly home.

Adding another night at the resort only adds about $60 to my costs for the night, but the extra park ticket ... ahhh. I have a lot of numbers to crunch.

Did you type your dates correctly? If you stay at ASMu the 19-22, that is 3 nights.

Should be, but remember this is a tiny resort...almost always the first to book up.

Not really. If the rooms sit aside for free dining sell out, you wouldn't be able to get it even if you had a room. Some people do go ahead and book, but there isn't any real benefit in doing it. You'll still have to call that morning anyway.

But to calm everyone's fears, these things don't sell out the first morning. There are still people booking the September offer. Worst case is a room category or possibly a resort may sell out, but even that takes a while to do. Plus, often they will open more rooms up anyway after the rush is over.

Yes this is true last year we missed 1st booking day by 3 days and still got our already booked room and DDP added which lower our cost by 1500.00 for the stay.

Call as early as you can. We got the FD pin in May, I called the very first night and the only rooms for our dates (October 19-26) at POFQ were Garden View. But they usually do open more rooms when GP FD comes out.

I'm sorry. We arrive on the 4th of December, so no FD for us either, but we did get an offer for a room discount of 25%. Did you get some kind of discount?

We went many years when our kids were younger and couldn't afford souvenirs for everyone, so we always told them memories make the very best souvenirs!
