Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I did receive (and take advantage of) a PIN offer I got from Disney valid for these dates: For arrivals most nights 8/25–10/2/13, 10/18–10/31/13, 11/11–11/23/13, 11/30–12/4/13 and 12/15–12/22/13.

I also just got today a room only PIN code for these dates: 1/5/14 - 3/2/14 and 3/16/14 - 4/12/14.

I didn't get any room only PIN codes for any dates in October, November or December...

Is the Room only discount mean it's a room only reservation or does it mean only the room cost is discounted?

Meaning can I add tickets?

Yes, only the room portion is discounted. You can still add on tickets and a dining plan if you wanted.

Oh my goodness! This is my first post here (after stalking the boards for a few months) and we're set to arrive at POR on 11/11 so this is SO great for us!

Plus we have a Disney Visa, which I guess I'll have to let my TA know about.

Ok just need advice please- we are scheduled 11/26-12/1, but thinking of changing to 11/23-29 for FD. Booked w AAA. I keep talking to my agent & she keeps saying the only way to get FD is pin. She said she usually knows 1 day before it goes public & she hasn't heard anything. Do I tell her it's going public on the 1st & please change dates or do I wait for her to tell me? She thinks I'm crazy!

Since she won't know until 7/31, you may want to move your dates now. She will still have to apply the public code anyway once it comes out on 8/1.

Honestly, today, I don't see the benefit on using a TA for WDW trips. Cost is the same, if not higher (specially for airfare) as some TAs will charge you a fee to book airfare with them.

Did you type your dates correctly? If you stay at ASMu the 19-22, that is 3 nights.

Yeah, I mistyped because I've got so many thoughts swirling around in my head. 18th and 19th offsite near the convention center, 20-22nd at ASMu. I need to call our resort on I-Drive to see if they have a bell services or something that can check our bag during the day. If so, I can check out on the 19th and then get us to ASMu by midnight to check in, but if not, it's too expensive to cab over, check in, cab back to the Convention center and then cab back to ASMu that night.

(and renting a car just pushes the cost up MORE and eats any savings, so...)

I also booked with a TA (not AAA) for 10/18-10/20. She advised that I wait to add 3rd night and change from QSDP to DDP until she hears about the FD. Of course I booked my ADRs on my own already LOL

I love my TA! She was able to book me an upgraded room for the same price as a standard on the WDW website. I booked my airfare on my own though.

Another person whose day has been made! We'll be checking in Sept. 29th so it's just perfect! We're already booked because I couldn't wait any longer so I'll be updating the reservation on the 29th!!

I'm already booked for FD in October with a pin I received. However we're at CSR because there was no availability left at POR or POFQ (where we would prefer to stay).

I'm wondering if them opening it to the general public means there will be more rooms available and I might be able to switch over... any thoughts?

No, unfortunately, at this point, it's not. You need to check in within one of the dates listed.

If we got free dining (which I assume is quick service) how much would it be to upgrade per day to the regular dining (1 qs, 1 ts)? Thank you!!!

According to Mousesavers it's an additional $19 per adult/ $3 or $4 per child per day to upgrade. In case anyone was wondering.

If I check in on 11/2, I will have FD the entire week - right?

So excited. I just booked a room at AKL this morning in hopes that something would come out!! It's a savannah view so I don't think a RO discount for that would be enough, the FD would help!!
