Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

Dont want to burst anyones bubble, but this info has been out for weeks. On here and FB.

Pins have been out, but not the public offer. it has been assumed it would come out, but this is the first real posting with actual dates and when it can be booked.

Yes, we already have 2 LM rooms booked at AoA, so we're looking to upgrade to the cheapest moderate resort, 2 rooms, so that we can get FD. So a room for 4 plus and infant and another room for 3.

This is too funny...we did it again; mine is right above yours! Maybe the third time will be a charm, and I will be on the same "page.":dance3:

Yea I realize that.. Just hurts that there are only 4 days in Sept that are excluded from FD and my entire stay is within 3 of them so no choice of a double reservation or ability to go a day earlier. Got excited when I saw your initial dates after already getting shot down with the cutoff on the previous offer being the 25th.

The August dates were never actually in contention, I made that point early on.

That really left a hole as to where they would start, since the pins went from August 25-October 2. The November 30-December 4 dates vanished, likely because those dates filled up.

Interestingly, if you notice, some of the other dates opened up a bit wider.

Yep, that is the first place I saw the Free Dining info also. Thanks so much Joe for keeping all these threads going. I am so happy it is finally going public and now I can finally relax. Although I will be more relaxed once we are booked. Hopefully on the 29TH! I will be using my Disney Visa for all three rooms, so we can all get it a few days ahead of the public. Am I right in thinking, I only need to put $200 on my Visa for the other 2 rooms? I already put down way more than that on my package all on my Visa card, so I don't think I will need to make another payment. I think I will just pay it off when it comes out though. :)

Disneyfantotheend & Pluto :grouphug: Finally right!!! This has been horrible, I'm so happy for you both. pixiedust:

Another thanks to everyone for the Information and Happy for others, but @#$#$% for me! lol!
Traveling 12-1 thru 7th. Never used FD or had a PIN. Hoping this year something different.

We are already booked at POFQ 12/16 - 12/24. I have a Disney Visa that I have paid a good chunk of my balance with. My current bal due is around $800. If free dining is applied we would save more than we owe. Does that make sense? So will my account be paid in full and a credit applied on my Visa? Also, do I just call on 7/29 and ask for the DV free dining?

Thanks for any help you can give me! I am over the moon excited about this...been waiting pathetically PINless for soo long now! :rotfl2:

Oh, to Black/Joe, I am truly appreciative of how you've been here with us each step of the wait with news and hope. I am truly thankful :goodvibes

And also a shout out to Dave, for giving me hope this morning on his site!

This information just appeared on the Chip & Co. site....as the first news of this information. Guess they don't read the Dis? :rotfl2:

They will refund you when the code is applied, and yes, you just call them as soon as the deal is released. As long as your room type has availability under the offer, you are good to go. I would have a back up resort/room type ready just in case.

I was just figuring Sept 26,27,28 were likely booked up because of the previous FD offer. People checking in on 21st going for a week with FD. Will suck to be there knowing everyone dining around us didnt have to pay and we do but oh well at least you tipped me off on the room discount. 25% off isnt anything to sneeze at.

Free dining will be extended beyond September. Bookings for these dates will begin August 1. As usual, Disney Visa holders should have a few days notice to book early, likely on July 29. The dates are below:

September 29 - October 2
October 18 - November 2
November 11 - 23
December 12 - 22

Oh that is wonderful news!! We will be checking in on October 18th!! I am so excited!! I have been a little nervous about having extra spending money and this will ease my nerves quite a bit!! We have a family of 6 plus my MIL going with us and we will be there for my daughters 5th birthday. While I have been to WDW and Disney Land before the rest of my family has never been. I am also hoping to upgrade our room from ASM to CBR. YAY!!

I really feel so badly for those who are finding their dates are not included. :guilty: That would be so devastating to me. Hopefully something will work out for you, maybe a room only with broader dates??

Unfortunately, yes, you would most likely have to pay the increased ticket prices. The increase would still usually be less than the cost of the dining plan though.

I did book our October trip prior to the prices going up (just in case FD didn't come out, at least it would save me a little $).

I just went back and re-priced our trip at the new rates and it will cost us an extra $49 under the new rates to switch to FD. I will still save over $400 with FD, even after paying the rate increase.

Not bad!

Thanks for running those numbers! I need to do the same! How many days do you have tickets for? We have 5 MYW No hoppers!

Yea!! So happy everything worked out for you!!! Have a great trip and I hope your daughter's birthday is magical!!princess: We will be celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday when we go, too.

A big :grouphug: to Joe Black for this. I have been stalking these boards for awhile, and I just want to add my thanks!

Someone smarter than I am, please, help me out with the math. I booked our trip (two adults, two juniors) from Dec 4 thru Dec 10 at POR with park hoppers and regular dining with a internet discount offer of 25% off the room.

Will I save any money by switching to the free dining dates, if I do not have a room discount? My math says that would be a wash.

But am I understanding correctly that there might also be a room discount offered for the December free dining rates? So would that be like paying off season room rates, with free dining?

TIA!
