Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!! (And a whole lot more) ~ Part 3

We take our kids out. School board has a policy that they must report any more than 3 unexcused absences to a social worker. You are allowed 7 unexcused absences per year( no MD note).

Even if we told the teachers and principal before we went we still got the warning letter about the 7 limit.

So this year we are not bothering to inform anyone. Their teachers never gave them their work ahead of time anyway. They just had to catch up.

We have learned that spending time as a family is much more valuable in life , especially when one considers is only 5 days of missing school. ( 4 actually since we go veterans day week.

You only live once and you never know how long you have in this world with your kids. They will be grown up and gone someday too. Best to live life to the fullest now!
EXACTLY! PRECISELY! HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD! Relax everyone....it's not going to damage your child's life-long education by going to Disney for a few days ;). Rather, they will leave Disney with life experiences that they would have otherwise missed. Kuddos to creating well rounded children!

Part 2 has officially been closed! :rotfl:

And finally snagged a Tusker House ADR before the park opens!!! :dance3: I had a 9:40am but had really been trying every day to get an earlier one. So I'm thrilled! pixiedust:

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled programming.. ;)

I am trying to move my 1900 Park Place dinner ressie to another night with no luck. We ended up getting wishes that same night and that is too much. Will cancel 1900 if I can't move it.

Went for RO dsct so we will be paying OOP for dinner. Any suggestions for one more definite meal that shouldn't be missed. Kids are 13,11,7. Here is what I have so far:

Sun - none
Mon - 1900 Park Fare and Wishes Dessert party
Tues - Yak and Yeti lunch
Wed - none
Thurs - Prime Time
Fri - none

Thanks!:)

Awesome! I'm trying to get a pre-park opening TH as well. The earliest I've been able to get is 10:20! I just know something will open up eventually. I figure I have abetter chance with that than Chef Mickey and 'Ohana anyway. LOL!

Anyone else having a horrid day?

Even knowing I am going to WDW isn't helping today!!!!

Me! Horrible day! Just got my husband past a bulging disk is his back and today I've pulled a muscle in mine. Stuck in bed for the next day or two.

Joe.... What are u doing for your birthday? Big plans, or just slumming it with the rest of us? :)

Ok, I'm a big sap but that actually made my eyes fill up with tears and my stomach flip with excitement!

Me too! Something about that Disney sign gets me. I even made sure that are flight would get in early enough in the afternoon so that it wouldn't be dark when we approached the entrance.

YEAH!!:cheer2: It's always a great feeling to get those coveted ADRs taking care of.

I ordered our MVMCP tickets today, and I will be ordering out photopass+ soon. We have been planning a trip for over a year now and I am getting so excited. It's nice to see my countdown getting closer and closer to 100 days. I have two more weeks of summer break before I have to go back to school. I am really get excited about our trip to ease the pain of going back to work.

I just saw today about the free dining offer. We have a family suite booked at Music. We are arriving October 15th. I called today and was told that we couldn't get the free dining because we aren't arriving on the 18th. So I asked if we could split our reservations somehow and be able to get the free dining. I was told we couldn't. I'm so bummed. Then I called back and tried to talk to someone else, who was much more helpful and she was able to give me 300 or so dollars off our room. But no free dining. Does this sound right?

We booked this so long ago, I can't believe its 2 months away now.

Is anyone else still having issues with the website? I called late thursday nite and got a CM to cancel my CSR reservation and apply my $200 deposit to my POR reservation. He said it would take 5 to 7 days. Well, the CSR reservation is now gone from the site (finally!) but it still shows tickets for both reservations and it does NOT show me getting credit for that extra $200. Can anyone confirm if it is normal to take this long? I know its not been a full 7 days yet but usually things get transferred/fixed/etc long before the time they tell you (as they usually pad the time to cover their butts). I'm going to call them tomorrow if nothing has changed and its a full 7 days, I just wondered if it was normal. Thanks in advance!
