My payoff date is at an inconvenient time and frankly I have the money to pay it in full right now so am thinking that I should just do it and get it over with.

I need some tips!! I am looking for a good deal on a rental car. I would like to use Alamo or National Rental since they are on property. I need to pick up on property, and drop off at Orlando MCO airport. Rates at $62/day for smallest car, which I think is WAY high. I can find some cheaper deals by doing pickup/drop at MCO and using magic express, but that seems like a pain. Just 10/7-10/9. Ideas smart planners???

Anyway you can pick up at the airport to go with a cheaper company? You are probably going to get dinged with a return fee if you pick up at park and return at airport too.

I remember one summer waiting well over 2 hours to ride it! The line was out to the bridge where you can watch the splash down, and every single curve of the line was open.
We loved it so much, we even named our dog Zipper - as in zip-a-dee-do-dah!

We were cramped for time so waiting for 2 hrs wasn't an option plus it was about a half hr before Wishes started. Had to see that!

I just saw today about the free dining offer. We have a family suite booked at Music. We are arriving October 15th. I called today and was told that we couldn't get the free dining because we aren't arriving on the 18th. So I asked if we could split our reservations somehow and be able to get the free dining. I was told we couldn't. I'm so bummed. Then I called back and tried to talk to someone else, who was much more helpful and she was able to give me 300 or so dollars off our room. But no free dining. Does this sound right?

We booked this so long ago, I can't believe its 2 months away now.

It might indeed be correct that there is no free dining, the discount is probably for Fall Room Discount so getting 300 off would not be out of line. I think that it's probably the Columbus day Holiday (14th) that is blacking out your dates for free dining even later that week. A lot of people will start their vacations on CD and then continue that week and may be doing splits and taking up FD rooms.

Joe!! Splash is my favorite too! Last year, my oldest son was tall enough to ride & we ended up buying the pic at end of ride... Somehow we lost it and I was so disappointed as it was his first " big" ride.. He is very excited to ride again!! Love the song... Thanks for posting- brings back great memories!!! Cant wait!!!!!

We go in October and we paid our trip in full about 2 months ago. A big benefit for us is knowing everythings paid off and we can enjoy the anticipation of our upcoming trip

No disadvantage at all! I just paid our trip off today. My due date wasn't until Sept. 3, but DH wanted me to go ahead and pay it so we can know how much money we "really" have after the sequestration (which has just been shortened to 6 days instead of 11! ). Today has been an expensive day... paid off Disney, had routine work done to my van and paid for our basketball season tickets. Ouch! Oh well...more Disney rewards on the DV this month.

I leave for a 10 day trip with my with my dad and we fly home at 11:30 pm the night before my final payment is due.

My nightmare is that being tired, jetlagged, and probably exhausted by being with my dad (who I love don't get me wrong) that I'll be brain dead the next day and forget.

I don't anticipate any changes to my package and at this point doubt any better deals will come out than what I got.

So thinking that paying off early will be better for my peace of mind.

My car started overheating, and stranded us on the side of the road- with 2 kids in the 100 degree LA heat... and now my embroidery machine is inexplicably broken. And i was working on Disney shirts tonight haha.

Is anyone else still having issues with the website? I called late thursday nite and got a CM to cancel my CSR reservation and apply my $200 deposit to my POR reservation. He said it would take 5 to 7 days. Well, the CSR reservation is now gone from the site (finally!) but it still shows tickets for both reservations and it does NOT show me getting credit for that extra $200. Can anyone confirm if it is normal to take this long? I know its not been a full 7 days yet but usually things get transferred/fixed/etc long before the time they tell you (as they usually pad the time to cover their butts). I'm going to call them tomorrow if nothing has changed and its a full 7 days, I just wondered if it was normal. Thanks in advance!

I'm in the same situation. Cancelled my first reservation and had that deposit applied to my new reservation. Old reservation is gone on MDE, still shows tickets for both, and my old deposit has not be credited to my new reservation. The CM I spoke to on Friday afternoon told me to call back this week to make sure it was taken care, so I'll probably call Friday if the deposit isn't showing up by then.

I got new AC/Heater installed today, bought two excursions for my upcoming cruise, and paid bills. I figure I might as well faint once from bank drain overload rather than have mini strokes for the next month.

Glad your sequestion days dropped. I know lots of folks are worried about that.

So if your 4 year old could handle it, I suppose I can give it a shot. I am a really big chicken....that's part of the reason I like Fantasyland so much!

40". My youngest (3) was just tall enough to ride Splash and BTMRR last visit! Loved them both .
