FREE DINING for DISNEY VISA CARD HOLDERS!!

Well, I had no luck with the LM rooms. :worried: I had a very pleasant and knowledgeable CM who instantly told me that LM rooms are excluded from this promotion - only the suites at AoA are eligible. No biggie since it's just me [only 3 nights] and I already have the AAA rate.

I got free dining. I had to switch from LM to pop but I'm still kind of disappointed. I made my original reservations way before the ticket price increase. with this promotion I had to pay the new ticket prices. I was on the phone over an hour trying to convince them otherwise and finally I gave up because I didn't want to lose out on the free dining. Did this happen to anybody else?

I think it happened to me. The CM told me I kept the old prices, but had to pay tax on the QSDP.:confused3 I didn't think it was right, but I didn't press it because I am still saving a ton more money even with the new ticket price. FD for 9 nights was a much better savings than no food and old ticket prices, so I'm okay with it.

maybe the poster was mistaken and didnt get FDing and actually had no dining... they better call and check I guess since they are the only one that got it:upsidedow

What about the posts on the suites?? A few have posted about that too, right? Are suites part of it?

AoA suites are included. Little Mermaid rooms are not. CM confirmed that about 25 minutes ago.

Availability is limited resort wide for the early October dates.

I just tried to get the free dining for my existing reservation at POFQ and they didn't have any availability at any of the moderates (check in Oct 27). She said to try back tomorrow, so hopefully something will turn up.

Not necessarily. It depends on where you book and which dining plan you select.

Good point. I guess I was just thinking about my time period [value resort/QSDP] - which is all that's important to me. ;)

Edited: I just looked at the Visa site again and that is what it says, F8Z for value. It doesn't discuss any other codes for which type of dining plan you want. The pp asked about the code for value resorts, not others.

Congratulations to those getting the discount of their choice!

I freely admit I am super jealous. No trip for us this year as our Fall Break is during the black out period. I just can't afford it without the FD this year.

Or just call back first thing Thursday morning. They will definitely open up more rooms for the general public discount - though those will probably fill up very quickly also.

That's my plan. The CM said something about a discount opening up tomorrow, so I'll try for that. And if that fails, I'll make sure I get up early on Thursday!

The CM that booked my reservation told me it was good I called before Thursday, because there was more availability now. I guess it all depends on who you talk to. :upsidedow

I tried to apply this free dining to a value resort and upgrade to the regular dining plan.

The price was about $90 more than I expected and the CM said it was due to ticket price increases. He said my original ressie was priced with lower ticket prices and the cost went up and to get the free dining offer I would have to pay higher ticket prices.

I am not buying that. Anyone else have this issue?

I will have to check my numbers when I get home before I call back - I declining the free dining for now.

WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Free Dining for our October Trip!

For those calling: No POR Alligator Bayou Rooms, ONLY KING BEDS at Royal Rooms, only Garden View at POFQ with King Beds.

She mentioned that "historically Free Dining is released 3 days after Visa Offers for the general public." She also said "rooms are expected to go quick" and "there is not as much availability for offers as in the past" :(

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

probably because of all the reservations made "in case" free dining came out! :rotfl2:

That is likely the case. As far as I know, everyone has had to pay the new ticket prices when changing their existing reservations today.

That makes the offer less attractive considering I was booked with a 30% room discount.

To add regular 'free dining' it would cost me $722 vs about $1090. Only a savings of $370 per room.
