FREE DINING for DISNEY VISA CARD HOLDERS!!

I have a confirmation email with all the info it has code L76 can anyone confirm that that is the FD code being used? It was a $2 difference nothing major.

My Conf email says "MYW FREE QUICK SRV DINE-VISA" in the Package(s) section at the top of the email. and in the section that lists out everything in your pkg by person, it says "TWO FREE QUICK SERV MEALS & FREE QUICK DINE SNACK"

Yay!!! :banana::banana::banana:

I just booked our 4 night stay December 10-14 with my Disney Visa! This is our first trip to see WDW decorated for Christmas; I cannot wait to see WL's decorations.

Thanks!!!

Martin

I am on hold now to check and make sure, but I have an August trip planned with Free Dining and nothing on my paperwork says free dining either but the price definitely reflects it.

I would double check that confirmation. You are the ONLY person here on the boards that have reported that they got free dining in the Little Mermaid rooms. Every other post I have read on the MANY FD threads have said they could not get the LM rooms and had to switch. Also, the LM rooms should not have come out cheaper than the Pop rooms, even if you got free dining applied.

Just to let you know I double checked and the CM had their supervisor check and I have the free dining offer which I upgraded to regular dining, he said i must have been one of the lucky few.....:cool1:

Also, unless you are already booked under a room only discount, the rate will not change with free dining. Even if you were booked with a room only discount, there has not ever been a room discount at a value resort that could save you more money than a free dining discount.

Really? We never do free dining because we get a "substantial" discount through the interline desk. At values it is usually 40-50percent. I prefer to eat where I want/when I want and not be tied to ADRs! FYI-we did have the dining plan once about 5 years ago, and all agree, prefer not to do it.....

But seriously, congrats to all of you who are scoring on this.....especially those staying at AoA.

Congrats to you! :cool1:
These offers sometimes change over time, too. (Can be weeks, can be minutes...) You never know with Disney.

The Dis is great! Thanks for notice, saw it and booked a couple of hours ago. We were also told LM rooms were not part of the offer. Also, CM was confused about room/building requests - but overall quick and easy.

In at POR royal rooms for 14 nights! VERY excited! A little disappointed we had to cancel our LM rooms, but excited for our first stay as a family in a moderate resort!

Just an fyi, if you had a reservation and "modified" it for free dining (like we switched hotels for example) your new confirmation may not show park tickets or dining plan immediately. I freaked out thinking our res. was wrong, called back, and was told it could take up to 48 hrs for this to show in the computer but it is there.

Woot Woot... added free dining to our trip, had to upgrade to a king bed; but still saved over $300. More for me to spend on stuff!!!! October cant come soon enough!!!!

Any word if POR Royal Guest rooms are still available? Hoping to book Oct. 21-28:)

Quick question. A friend is getting their TA to get the FD with their Disney Vias card. They plan to use their Disney rewards dollars to pay off part of their trip. The TA is saying that they have to use the Visa card to pay off the whole trip.

Can't they pay off their FD trip using a combination of a Visa charge and their reward dollars?

TIA

Eh... that's definitely not true. There are scenarios it makes sense (mine).
I don't know what your scenario is, but just by looking at the numbers, as 25% off room discount (which is a what the starndard value rooms normally get) would save you about $22.00 per night. A Free Dining discount, even if it was just a couple with no children, would save you about $70.00 per night, could be more than $100.00 per night for a family of 4.

I don't know about the reward $, but I do know that you do not have to use Disney Visa to pay off the trip, just the $200 deposit.

I was speaking, in general, about Disney general public discounts. Disney never offers room only discounts for the value resorts for more than 30% off, it's usually between 15 and 25% off for room only discounts at value resorts. I don't know what "interline" is or if the general public has access to it, but a room only discount through Disney is only going to save you about $22.00 per night on a value room and a free dining discount could save a family of 4 more than $100.00 per night on a value room. I'm sure if a family could get a 50% off discount on a value room, then that could complete with the savings of a free dining discount, but I don't think most of the general public has ever had access to a room discount of that amount.

That's incorrect informaton. You only have to put down a minimum deposit/payment of $200.00 to receive a free dining discount through the Chase Disney Visa promotion.

Their TA is wrong. I just paid my balance with my reward dollars. I was paid in full for a package with a 30% room code, but when I switched to FD I had to pay that 30%. I paid it all with my rewards card. Your friend's TA will have to have the rewards card number to pay it, so if they don't have a rewards card yet then they will have to order one and pay the balance once it arrives.

In order to use a DV discount, you only have to put down $200 with the Disney Visa card. You can pay the rest with any form of payment you want to use.

I think the original poster of this fact was referring to the fact that they don't "do" the Disney Dining Plan. I think everyone would agree that, if you want the Dining Plan added anyway, THEN there is no better discount for a value resort than free dining. I know it saves our family over $117 on a less that $100 room!!! GREAT DISCOUNT!

Just booked POR Royal Guest Rooms for Oct w/FD! :hyper: I had to upgrade to garden view b/c standard view was unavailable. I had paid $200 deposit on my original Sept. trip with my Disney Visa and they didn't ask me to put down anything else on my card. They moved my $200 original deposit over to this trip reservation! :cool1:

I got free dining. I had to switch from LM to pop but I'm still kind of disappointed. I made my original reservations way before the ticket price increase. with this promotion I had to pay the new ticket prices. I was on the phone over an hour trying to convince them otherwise and finally I gave up because I didn't want to lose out on the free dining. Did this happen to anybody else?
