just wanted to second this. The offer is not actually available to book online yet, but I spoke to a reservation agent online (at the Disney website) and she confirmed that free dining HAS been extended and you can call to reserve at this point.

Called back and got a better CM. That other call was interesting to say the least because she didn't explain that we were a black-out date.

Seriously thinking about changing our dates because it saves a lot. But we really need a suite for the size of our family so we were booked at ASMu. So it feels like a standard room even in a Moderate would be a downgrade.

We are currently on that black-out week in Oct. Does that mean there will be more crowds that week?

I'm scheduled to check in on a date that's blacked out (12/9). I'm calling now to see what I can do... I think I can book a room only on the 9th, and switch to a package on the 10th... But of course I have 3 reservations that I have to do this to.

And I'm at work.

YES. And they will give it to you if you meet all the requirements.

Hooray! I called this am and got free dining for our upcoming trip. I had already booked everything at Pop Century for the 1st week of Dec. I switched to Port Orleans to get free dining upgraded and everything worked out perfectly. (I realize I could have upgraded to full dining at Pop but we really like French Quarter better and the cost was very reasonable)

Now if only Southwest would come out with some decent airfares for that week. I've got time, I won't panic yet.

We got the FD too for our dates-December 16-21! Our TA emailed me around 1:30 and had already taken care of everything! It saved us a lot of money!

I am already booked at POR Oct 21-30

I just called and now I have 3 different ressies:

Oct 21st room only 191.00
Oct 22-28 package with free dining plus, 9 day hoppers
Oct 29th room only 202.00

We are a family of 5 and I just saved a boatload of money and I am soooooo excited!! We have been many many times and never had free dining!

The CM on the phone must have thought I was crazy.

I am curious about something......

We are thinking of booking a trip for Oct. 7-12. I know that there may not be availability for the Free Dining but my question is this: Our trip would be during the black-out dates except for our 1st day. Does that mean that we could still get the free dining for our whole trip? I thought I read that it would apply as long as your trip started within the right dates.

Can anyone clarify this for me? We have never done Free Dining so I am clueless!
