If you have an AP, to get the free dining plan, do you have to buy a base ticket for every member or just one base ticket per package? It is just me and my husband going this time.
I believe that for packages, everyone in the room has to have the same deal. You need to buy at least a one day ticket for everyone in the room. You don't have to use it, and it will be good forever until the one day that you want to use it.
Yes, each member of your party must have a base ticket. We did this October 05' for free dining becuase we had AP's. Ended up using the extra tickets for my dad when he visited us in January!
You can also save your one-day and upgrade it to another ticket type. We upgraded our one-day ticket from last year's free dining special to APs when we were at WDW in December and our APs were up for renewal.
Say I have 3 adults, 2 children staying with Free Dining
We buy a 1-day Base Ticket for all 5 of us.
1 adult has an annual pass, so does not need extra days.
The other 2 adults and 2 children do not have APs.
Can the 2 adults and 2 children upgrade their tickets without having the 3rd adult with the annual pass upgrade as well?
It might be easiest to do this if we went to guest services and had them pull the ticket portion off of the room keys?
