Free Dining 2014 Discussion

Yes, you could do that but I don't believe the deals load on the site at midnight.

It varies, but there's no firm rule. Last year's fall free dining loaded online around 12:30 or so, but some of the others hasn't went up until after 6am. It really depends on when they hit the button.

Hi everyone- what is the best phone number to use to call and inquire if there are any PINS on my name or those in my party? We have NOT made reservations yet as - per advice of Joe - we are waiting to increase the chances that it will be to fill rooms. Read a lot about the PINS so would like to check in the meantime.Also- is there A different thread that talks about when they hear PINS have be released or will you mention it on this one? Thanks All!!!

My trip days are September 3rd through the 12th. I've been checking lately on room prices on the Disney site, and currently it says there are no standard rooms available for my dates. Do you guys think that could have something to do with free dining or would the resort really be sold out of those rooms?

I'm sure if any pins go out they will be listed here. I always call 1 (407) W-DISNEY. It is the easiest one for me to remember. :rotfl2:

Funny you should mention this. I too went to book standard for end of Sept. and was shown NO rooms avail. Thought it was a little strange. Perhaps Disney is getting ready to attach them to FD. Very curious!:confused3

What resort are you looking at?
I checked several resorts for standard rooms (All Stars, POFQ, CBR, CSR, Poly, etc.) and the only resort that is showing no standard rooms is POR.

There are a couple of really popular resorts that book well without a discount promo. POR is one of them so if a resort is showing no standard rooms are available it is probably because a lot of people are booking "hoping" for FD or they may have booked happy with one of the other discounts that are available now, like the MM. Unfortunately when a resort is booking with other discounts/promo's, Disney has no reason to offer a new discount for that resort and these are normally the resorts that get excluded from the September promo's.

Oh Black, you are such a saint for putting up with us!!!! :thumbsup2

Hmmm. I'm guessing "saint" might not be the exact word, but he does put up with a lot for us free dining crazies! :thumbsup2

UK offers are indeed different than the others. In fact, it appears they are releasing free dining on April 24th for 2015 for UK residents.

As for the US, they have not done a Visa only offer, the Visa only gets a few days advanced bookings.

Do they always release UK offers that far in advance? And does that mean anything as far as what Disney might offer to the U.S.? Or is free dining pretty standard for the U.K.?
I'm still just hoping the rack rates for 2015 go online early so I can play around with numbers and dates for next year!
Oh, to be able to plan a Disney vacation that far in advance would be SO NICE! If I were fairly certain that we'd have free dining next year, I'd start working on my husband right this instant! He doesn't really respond to... well, you never know, we MAY get free dining and be able to afford an earlier trip than expected, but we really have no idea. This board would be way too much for him. In his eyes, either it is, or it isn't. Why debate it? Clearly we differ in our opinion in that, well, at least for Disney. I'd probably feel differently if it were something else though.

Yes, it's POR I was referring to. I just thought September was supposed to be slower so was surprised to see it book!

Darn. We're booked at POR Sept 20-27. Is POFQ ever included in FD? If we have to switch to CBR to get FD, I'll do it, but that's not my first choice.

Although, if we'll have double beds anyway, I might as well go down to a value and then just pay to upgrade to DDP. Hmm. Time to run some more numbers...

I just checked online.....nothing yet! Here's to hoping there's something at 7am :)
