Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 2

Well, I picked a heckuva day to start following this thread!!! I'm so bummed it looks like my October stay (dates not flexible) will not be included - especially because I'm bringing extended family and it's MY kids fall break dictating the timing. Anyone know if additional dates were added later in 2013? When I booked this trip and checked historical discounts (Fromm allears maybe?) I was optimistic because it looked like October had been included last year. . .

Much of October was included last year. I think Columbus week was excluded. I do not recall additional dates being added last year, but I'm not 100% certain. I keep reading that last year was far busier than expected, with many more schools changing their calendars to include a fall break. Hence, no free dining for 3/4 of October this year.

Some people in the past have received pins for FD..they haven't changed the dates of the general public offer.

Chase has totally botched this one. Even they think it's happening today. I've received messages of them reading the offer in its entirety. Either they kicked this back a day at the last minute and didn't tell Chase, or they told Chase the wrong day all along.

The date ranges, general public date, and resort exclusions listed on the first page all match their info. The only glitch was May 1, when it should've been May 2.

My Chase rep read to me right from the email she rec'd. Read the offer in it's entirety but she DID add that at or near the bottom it said "Starts May 2nd".

Could someone post the code they used that successfully got them a deluxe reservation? I just called chase and Rodney told me that some people are having success but that he couldn't give me the code until emails were officially sent. He apologized profusely because he says a lot of reps had given out codes but he didn't think he was supposed to. :/

What number did you call? I gave the code, no mention of FD, she typed it in, and said it was invalid. She's checking on it. When I called Chase, I specifically asked if the code was active, and she said they are active as soon as the emails go out, which they have.

Any clue as to why I wouldn't receive emails even though I have a DV??

I just called Chase and they wouldn't give me the code. I said other people have been given the code. She said an email should be going out tonight. This is so frustrating. I just want to book my vacation and be done with it.

I'm a newer Disney Visa holder. I'm registered on Chase's site for the Disney Rewards program. Is there somewhere else I need to be registered to get emails etc?

Most people don't get emails from Disney. During past promotions Visa would send out an email about 10am after the phone lines at Disney opened at 7am.

Is it possible that the CMs who are letting bookings through did not get the memo telling them to wait until tomorrow? Those who did get it are saying it's not valid. I bet they aren't even typing it in. It sounds as if it does indeed go through when entered, evidenced by the number of people who have used it so far today. :scratchin

I thought I would try, despite all of the reports of CM's saying it isn't an active code. Unfortunately, that was what I was told too. :sad2: Oh, well...I will try again tomorrow morning! :cheer2:
