>> FREE DINING 2011 WATCH - Read Post # 1 BEFORE Posting

I give up. 5 calls in 2 days, no PIN. I will just hope a public code is released that covers June.

Ok, so does anyone know what the price difference of the dining plans? We snagged free dining for our october trip but it's only quick service. It was $11 per person per day to upgrade to the basic dining, but how much would it be to upgrade to the next dining plan?

I asked the CM I spoke with the same question and she told me that it would be an extra $15 per person per day to upgrade to the regular dining plan....anyone know the reason for the difference?

This is the pricing for the 2011 Disney Dining Plans, you can do the upgrade/difference math:

Quick Service Dining Plan
Adults (Ages 10+) : $34.99 per day
Children: (Ages 3-9): $ 11.99 per day

Disney Dining Plan
Adults (Ages 10+) : $45.99 per day (regular season) / $47.99 (peak season)
Children: (Ages 3-9): $11.99 per day (regular season / $12.99 (peak season)

Disney Deluxe Dining Plan
Adults (Ages 10+) : $78.99 per day
Children: (Ages 3-9): $21.99 per day

Thanks, but no matter if I use the regular season or the peak season it still doesn't add up to the $15 difference she quoted me...

It seems from reading this thread all week, that many of these CM have no idea as to what is going on and that Disney marketing for all the great things they do needs a little work in working with people. With the price of airfare rising, Disney might find #'s lower than they thing. I expect a public plan to open up, but for those of us who have already booked for June,July and August it would be nice to have a little advance notice. Especially since we have already committed to this trip and may want to upgrade from the FD to the next level.

I called yesterday to see if I had the FD pin, and today I received it by email. I had booked with the 35-40% discount pin and have paid for air so can't change dates.

I was curious to see what savings I would have got.

All Sport (35% off), 5 day basic ticket, deluxe for 2 adults = $1,837.00
All Sport, 5 day basic ticket, quick service upgrade to deluxe = $1,898.44

So is cheaper to stay with the 35% discount.

DING DING we have a winner....:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Just curious..for people who say they snagged October Free Dining and November Free Dining..was this a pin that you called in for or did you book back in December?

So are you saying you would be spending less than 60.00 on food for the 5 days you will be there? I know it looks like less now but when you add in all the food and drinks you will be buying then to me it seems that the dining would be cheaper in the long run.

****edited**** ok nevermind I just realized that you did have the deluxe added there I apologize for not reading it right..

I agree, I dont think the cm's know what they are talking about. I talked to one 2 days ago that said I had a fd pin good until 11-18 but I had to wait for the email, I haven't got that email but today I got 2 pins via email for fd until 8/13 like everyone else.

Well, I had one CM that said I had a special for Oct., but I would have to modify my dates to check out on the 8th of Oct. to get it. So I said fine (I was wanting to stay until the 9th but for a deal I would check out and book a room only for next night) She put me on hold several times saying I just got this email, let me make sure I'm doing this right.... Well she came back with the same price I was already paying. Not sure where the deal was or what email she had but I will stay till the 9th and pay the same price as she quoted me for a DEAL(LOL)!!!

Just curious..for people who say they snagged October Free Dining and November Free Dining..was this a pin that you called in for or did you book back in December?

Making a guess it must have been a PIN, because the free dining promotion that expired in December 2010 had free dining for arrivals through 9/29/11. There were no Oct-Dec dates with that promotion from what I know.

For all those that helped me yesterday... I want to say thank you for putting me at ease and my dad received the FD pin today and I called to price it out and it was a couple hundred bucks more expensive than my 35% discount pin I booked with so all is well now :goodvibes Now I'm just so excited that I have 58 more days!!! We are going back in Dec as well so I'll still be looking for a pin for then.

I just got the FD pin, too. However, it doesn't cover my dates. Currently, I'm using the hotel discount pin on my trip. Hopefully, they will release public FD for December or release pin codes. I am suspicious and hopeful about this considering when I called to add the hotel discount pin, I told the CM that I was hoping for FD and she mentioned that I would be getting it. I asked her about it and she then acted like she didn't say anything. It was very strange. :confused3 Ofcourse, she also said that it would only be $300 to upgrade for one week from MYW without any dining to MYW QS dining. I ofcourse knew different. After inputting the info, she seemed shocked when the price went up by $1000. :confused3

I got a FD Pin and it covers my dates!

Too bad I already booked a place offsite for two weeks. :rotfl:

Oh well, maybe some other time.
