Yikes! I thought it was supposed to stop by 1:00? Hahaha! That's great you have a Disney vacation to countdown to! I really thought we were going to go this summer too, but DD didn't want to (can you believe it??), so I guess I'll be waiting until 2012!

That's awesome that your DH is as fanatic! Mine isn't! :( We were just there, though in July for 12 days and then over Christmas, so I guess I shouldn't complain, but, well you know how it is!!! :) DD is turning 18 in April, and there's a boy, of course, so I'm sure that has something to do with her wanting to stay around this summer! ;)

I'm thinking the same thing about the cruise, now I just have to convince DH! :goodvibes

OK, so my curiosity got the best of me and I phoned Disney tonight to look into the PIN code that I received...the one that I thought was my first PIN ever, that I posted about earlier on this thread. Turns out the PIN code was intended for my mother-in-law, not me...although it is addressed to my family it has her address attached to it...this is my work e-mail address and when I log onto disney.com, my home address is the information that appears. :confused3

I had called because, although there was a 'book it' tab to connect to the website, I wasn't able to actually get onto the site because my postal code didn't match the one on file (because it was my MIL's, of course). I was perplexed and decided to call and find out what was amiss. The CM I talked to was really nice and before I could explain myself she put me on hold...when she came back she told me she was able to get a manager to agree to allow me to use the PIN I received. Unfortunately this is not when we want to or can go this year, so I couldn't use it and she wasn't able to extend the timeframe of the offer.

I'm just perplexed as to why I can't get a code for my own household...and I'm very disappointed right now because I had false hope that I might receive an offer sometime soon on that e-mail for October...now that seems unlikely!!!

After she priced out some October dates for me and the pricing seemed high, I told her I would have to think about what I could fit into my budget. Weird thing is that she then highly, highly suggested (her words) that I call CAA because the CM said, "especially for the dates you are looking for you may be very pleasantly surprised at what they may be able to offer you." I've been around awhile and consider myself well-informed and pretty savvy; I've booked several trips direct with Disney and I pay attention to the latest news and speculation. I've also booked with CAA on a couple of prior trips and have never heard of them being able to offer more than their standard discount (5-10%, I believe), unless there is a public offer. I will call my agent tomorrow, who also happens to be a co-worker's wife, but I'm not holding out hope. :sad2:

I'm betting I will be recommitting to my strategy of waiting to book until a general public offer comes out, if ever. We really want to go to WDW this year and I was hoping I'd be able to secure something so that I could start looking into airfare, ADR's etc...as I'd be eligible to make some of those bookings soon. I am itching to get going on this but I have to stay true to my budget.

Sorry for the long post, all...had to share/get this off my chest..so bummed but just a tiny bit of hope still lives in my Mickey Mouse shaped heart.

Can you tell how excited I am????? We got a PIN today for FREE DINNING for our trip July 1-7th...we were already booked and were paying for the dinning plan! I never in a million years thought we would ever get one!
Since we booked through AAA, I was told that I need to call my agent, have them drop whatever discount they gave us and have them apply this PIN....my guess is that it will save us some money....has anyone else ever had this happen with a AAA booking?

When did the PIN show up in your Inbox, today or last week?

I booked through AAA, and my agent was able to call and have the pin applied to my reservation. She printed out new information, showed me my new total and pay-by date, and then showed me that it was showing up on the WDW website as well. Just take the pin to your TA, or forward the email to her, and she/he will get you taken care of! :thumbsup2

(On a side note, I didn't have the actual pin when my TA did this for me - I just had called and a CM told me I had one. So the TA called and verified and had it applied.)

For the record ... I called 3/1 and was told I had FD pin. I have yet to receive an email or postcard about it. I've received a 30% off pin in the mail ... but not the FD one. And yes, its definitely there, because I am booked under it. Maybe Disney will notify me one day. :rotfl:

So maybe they're still going out? :confused3

It is interesting....I received my FD pin in my box last month. It needed to be booked by 02/28/22. Unfortunately, the dates do not work for us. I am anxiously waiting for them to open FD to the public. Come on DISNEY!!!!:surfweb:

Congrats on getting codes, thank god for them cuz airfare is going to kill us this year......:scared1:

The code came via snail mail yesterday...it had a Lady and the Tramp on the front and the code was inside.....waiting to reach my actual AAA agent to apply the code, byut called Disney twice to confirm and then I called another AAA agent to make sure this was going to be better for us :)
I figured out that my dinning plan alone was close to $800 dollars..and I can't imaging that my AAA discount was more than 10% or 15% for that time of year....can't wait to get a new price :)

Well right now Southwest out of Buffalo but am checking every day lots of airlines....most likely will not be flying out of TO.......:scared1:

I'd have to say, I think I'm loving Southwest now... we use to fly Continental
with one stop into Houston then to Orlando bc we thought it was the best price. We would leave at 6 am and get to Orlando between 12 pm and 1 pm... We went to Disneyland this past July and flew Southwest and we stopped in Vegas and on our way there, but back we had a straight flight and it was awesome!!!! Plus those baggage fees are brutal on other airlines!!! We have 2 non-stop flights this time with Southwest, no baggage fees and our flights were $89. I also opened a Southwest CC and got 2 free flights so my flight was free. Maybe you could try that route and save some money :goodvibes

Ahhhh, that's a bummer, I didn't know that. Well, I'm sure ya'll will still have a great time.:goodvibes

I finally got a pin in the snail mail yesterday, but I had already called and booked March 1st.

Got Free Dining offer in the snail mail yesterday but not for our October dates... Is it crazy to ask Disney if they'd be willing to give us a grace period? HA! I'm sure they'll come out with something this spring for the October-November visitors. It will just take patience. The past few years they’ve waited until late March to late April to release anything. Too bad I couldn’t give it to anyone of you :O(
