OK, so my curiosity got the best of me and I phoned Disney tonight to look into the PIN code that I received...the one that I thought was my first PIN ever, that I posted about earlier on this thread. Turns out the PIN code was intended for my mother-in-law,

not me...although it is addressed to my family it has her address attached to it...this is my work e-mail address and when I log onto disney.com, my home address is the information that appears.
I had called because, although there was a 'book it' tab to connect to the website, I wasn't able to actually get onto the site because my postal code didn't match the one on file (because it was my MIL's, of course). I was perplexed and decided to call and find out what was amiss. The CM I talked to was really nice and before I could explain myself she put me on hold...when she came back she told me she was able to get a manager to agree to allow me to use the PIN I received. Unfortunately this is not when we want to or can go this year, so I couldn't use it and she wasn't able to extend the timeframe of the offer.
I'm just perplexed as to why I can't get a code for my own household...and I'm very disappointed right now because I had false hope that I might receive an offer sometime soon on that e-mail for October...now that seems unlikely!!!
After she priced out some October dates for me and the pricing seemed high, I told her I would have to think about what I could fit into my budget. Weird thing is that she then highly, highly suggested (her words) that I call CAA because the CM said, "especially for the dates you are looking for you may be very pleasantly surprised at what they may be able to offer you." I've been around awhile and consider myself well-informed and pretty savvy; I've booked several trips direct with Disney and I pay attention to the latest news and speculation. I've also booked with CAA on a couple of prior trips and have never heard of them being able to offer more than their standard discount (5-10%, I believe), unless there is a public offer. I will call my agent tomorrow, who also happens to be a co-worker's wife, but I'm not holding out hope.
I'm betting I will be recommitting to my strategy of waiting to book until a general public offer comes out, if ever. We really want to go to WDW this year and I was hoping I'd be able to secure something so that I could start looking into airfare, ADR's etc...as I'd be eligible to make some of those bookings soon. I am itching to get going on this but I have to stay true to my budget.
Sorry for the long post, all...had to share/get this off my chest..so bummed but just a tiny bit of hope still lives in my Mickey Mouse shaped heart.
