Free dining 2007...again?

Hello to all Disser's, I read somewhere on the forum that it is official that the "FREE DINING" will be back next Sept??? Can anyone confirm this to me and with the allowing dates. Thanks so much in advance

it hasn't been annouced, it wasn't annouced until april last year, so we'll have to wait a few more months to find out.

I don't mean to sound stupid..................but what does free dining mean?I have a trip booked for this Sep/Oct does it mean I may get free dining if they announce it for then?

The last two years Disney offered the Disney Dining Plan free during the heavy hurricane season of late August through September. You need to pay full rack rate and the purchase of the Magic Your Way Package with a minimum 1-Day 1-Park pass was required.

The Free Dining program is a promotional thing Disney has done during the slower period in late August and early September the last few years. You have to book a room at rack rate - no discounts at all - and the Magic Your Way package, so at least a 1 day base ticket for every member of your party.
Then the Dining Plan has been included for free.
The Dining Plan gives you 1 Table Service meal, One Counter Service meal and 1 Snack per person per night,
There is a sticky thread all about the Dining Plan at the top of this board.
Disney has made two targeted Free Dining offers for 2007.
During the summer they had a "Bounce Back" promotion where anyone staying on property who booked another trip while they were on site got free dining for the next trip.
They also had a promotion for residents of the UK. They received free dining.
If Disney booked their desired quota of rooms with these two promotions they may not offer Free Dining to the general public this year at all.
We will have to wait and see!!!!

I just got off the phone with Disney with questions about a code I received in the mail. I told the CM that I still would probably rather have free dining but didn't think that would be available this year. Her response was "Don't be so sure. It very well may be around again." We'll have to wait and see I guess, but she makes it sound possible.

I think it will be back. Just before our December trip I received an email from my ta that if we booked another trip for September before that next trip was over, we would get free dining. A friend of mine on the WISH board also went at that time and got the same offer (and took it the lucky lady). So if they were/are offering it as an incentive for rebooking a trip, then they will hopefully offer it to the the masses as well.
