This should help everyone understand what Unviersal was doing yesterday. It sounds like they were giving away 300,000 not 100,000 (a batch after every airing of a heroes commercial):

Supposedly they are sinking a total of $35 million into this, but it's sure creating a huge buzz. I did an Examiner article about it (Click here to read) and the hits have been unreal so I don't know if people are searching it out or what. Look at the multi-pages here too! I sure hope this lures in some people who never considered Universal before so they can learn just how much fun it really is.

NBC owns Universal so I doubt Universal Orlando spent the $3 million directly. They could have used the 30 seconds for another spot, but they will not have to depart with the $3 million.

They way I interpreted it, you're automatically entered for every day with one entry. I sure hope that's right...Disney's sweepstakes is a pain in the butt because I break the stupid balloons every day and still haven't won a thing.

Here's a bit of good news: Because at least some of the final 100,000 tickets were still available right up until today's noon deadline, Universal says anyone who requested a ticket after the third commercial last night should be getting a freebie.

FYI -- It said one per household.

I used two seperate addresses and email accounts so it shouldn't be an issue.

Yes. The Universal Orlando website says that the free ticket giveaway was only on Sunday. The rest of the month is the trip-a-day sweepstakes.
