Yay! I just hobbled around and managed to pick enough blackberries to make jam! WooHoo!!! They are starting to get more scarce so I'm not sure if a cobbler is in our future or not.
My ankle still hurts and is slightly swollen but is getting better. Hopefully it will be as good as new(or as good as an almost 40 year old ankle should be

After the whole cutting of the finger drama we had Mr. and Mrs. Whackadoodle come in to the office 
I accidentally got a co-worker into trouble to the tune of shut door/knock down/yelling arguement 
, I left work and got home to a $320 bill from BCBS telling me that I had an outpatient procedure done at my PCP's office and they denied it because we no longer had them as of Jan 1st - yes true, we switched policies. So I call the PCP and ask them about the charges as I have NOT been to my PCP's office in at least 9-12 months!!! and the procedure was done on 6/5/08 I got yet another "stupid person" who told me that according to the computer I was there 
Yes, because we all know that there are never any errors and the computer KNOWS I was there. I had to inform said moron that they need to cross reference their schedule for that day and the patients that they billed for the day and to find out why I was billed. I am now waiting for a callback from them
Well, it did not get any better but at least I have a sense of humor and laughed about it

I love when you call them on a Monday and say you need to see the doc b/c you are puking your guts up and can't stand up without passing out and they say "how about coming innnnnnnn..........at the end of the week!?"
I want to say to them- WOULD YOU WAIT 5 DAYS IF YOU WERE SICK!!!!? arghhhhh!
I just always ask for the NP b/c I could get in to see her that same day- I don't think our doc really exsists- I never see him!....his name is still on the sign out front
I called my old PCP a few years ago because I was getting a UTI and if you've ever had a UTI you KNOW the symptoms 
and I had already tried to do the drink extra fluids & cranberry juice to try and catch it before needing meds but no luck. So I call her with my kidneys aching, feeling like I have to pee every 2 seconds, etc. and I get the "can you come in and give us a urine sample so we can do a culture 1st to confirm it's a UTI?" I called my OB/GYN and he prescribed me a script instantly! My doctors "know" who I am and that I do not call for a script unless it's past necessary so they don't just causually hand them out but I was PO'd that my PCP wanted me to suffer another 24 hours before treating.
Hate to hear DR horror story. Lucky for me my pcp has always been great.
He now tends to baby me. But that I will work on.
We went to the DRS in Boston today. They did the packing and checked me out. The DR said they got the cultures back and are changing the antibotics. They said if this one doe not seem to help any by next zthursday then they may need to put a port in me so I can me IVed.
But on the frebbie front I got Womens day mag in the mail. But they sent 3 months. June,July, and Aug
Apparently, according to my x rays, I'm supposed to be in terrible pain. The only thing that hurts is the fact that I now have to pay $600 for a tooth that got a $700 cap 6 weeks ago.
Good lord, it sounds like its been a terrible week for everyone!
I found out yesterday that I get to join the freap root canal club.
In other news, I'm still trying to decide on a price for the pink ribbon hat. I was thinking of charging $20 and making a $10 donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. What do you guys think?
