I have always wanted a bat box. Kellie I sure hope you feel better

ugh- DH finally took ours down after the darn woodpecker started peckin' the heck out of it!

We never had any bats go in it- it has to be facing in a certain direction- blah blah......

Madd-love the critter pictures. We get tons of stuff in our yard but I never think to take a photo. Unfortunately, we now have a dead deer down next to our barn. Someone must have hit it last week and the grass was so tall we didn't notice it until way, way too late. It's nowhere near the house, but in order to get the mail I have to hold my breath and run across the road as quickly as possible. We already have hummingbirds this year. We have two feeders on the porch kind of close together. Last year we had times when we would have 15-20 at a time!!!! I don't know how to attract them better but we are doing something right. Oh, some of you might not find this exciting, but we also have bats nesting right outside mine and DH's bedroom window. We have a log home but the upstairs is done in hemlock siding and they just "hang" out in there. The down side is that we have bat guano all over the roof outside our window.

OH NO- can you call the Twp about your deer??? Won't they come and pick it up since it was hit by a car??

When I used to work in our office- I was in charge of calling the Twp to pick up roadkill I had their # in my Rolodex, my friends would come into work and tell me where and what they saw and I would be on the horn!

One time I almost got into an argument with the woman at the Twp who answered the phones- there was this horrible looking road kill on my way to work- I know it had to be a deer, but it was so badly mangled and so huge it looked like it could have been a bear that was hit by a Mack Truck! She didn't want to believe me- I said- WHATEVER IT IS- GET IT OFF THE ROAD! (The school buses would ride passed it and I can only imagine the horror on their faces seeing this thing )

15-20 hummingbirds that is awesome! So you do not do anything, they just come right to your flowers?! That is great!

Can you hear the bats outside of your window?? When DH and Lived in our condo- we had a freakin' woodpecker that would come and peck at the side of our place- right outside of our bedroom window! I don't know why- but it seemed to pick the weekends to do his pecking

She doesn't exactly look happy in the picture. It's like she's planning to strangle the poor thing IF it decides to go for the jugular...

OK- guess where I just came from since 9am!?

No! Not JD's house!

THE DENTIST! and guess what procedure I had to have at a 2 days notice......ROOT CANAL!

For the love of god......ROOT CANAL!

I had a filling put in a few weeks ago and It never stopped bothering me. So- back to the dentist so he can check for a crack under the filling- and he did not see anything, filled it back up. Right after that- no pain relief- this time it was more pain I was feeling- When I bite down and now hot and cold.

Called them Saturday- the receptionist said it sounds like root canal, the dentist checked me and yup- 2 hours of root canal for me!

I have to go back to get ther permanant filling AND I also need a crown on the tooth, so I will be fitted for that!

Can you say refinance your home for dental procedures!? I had to get one of those Capital One Dental cards w/ 1 year intrest free pmts!

I am so loopey b/c I took 2 ativan before I went I can lay my head on my headboard, take a nap and drool enough to shorten it out!

Believe it or not- it did not even hurt- the price? now THAT hurt!

I am soo sorry to hear about your dental problems.
I've had two root canals in my life. IF there is a next a time and it's a back tooth, I'm just having the darn thing pulled.
I do have a really cool gold crown on my last molar.

For the money they wanted, I wanted gold!

I was lucky he finished the job in one visit- when I frst got there he said, possibly 2. But he finished.

It did not hurt- I am one of the fraidy cats who hates the sound of drills- I was lucky there were not many drills in this procedure

I'm with you on the sound of the drill. And that icky smell of flying tooth goo. Sorry about your yucky morning. What a way to start the week!

My baby has finally made it!

Carly is now 48"

We celebrated by going to Holiday World on Saturday so she could ride her first roller coaster.

You poor thing! I can totally sympathize. I have had so many problems with my teeth -- a combination of bad genes and almost constant antibiotics when I was a kid. It gets expensive.

My niece is tall enough, but we now have to work on the scardy cat part!

I would love to take her on Test Track and Splash Mountain but I am worried she will be scared

Maybe we can start her off on the Barnstormer in Toon Town!

I wouldn't mind if Carly were a little less brave. I was terrified the entire time she was in line for the Liberty Launch. Right before take-off, I heard her say, "I think I made the wrong decision." Fortunately she loved it.

I was worried that *My* Karlee would not like Soarin' last year, however, after she got off of it- it was like she shot out of a cannon! She loved and could not wait to go back on!

I am hoping she is like that with some of the other bigger rides this year! Once she gets on, she will be fine.....I hope

Test Track isn't really that scary. It's fun to pretend you are a crash-test dummy.
There is only the one hill in Splash Mountain. The rest of it tells a story.

That's what you can tell your niece. My littlest was afraid when all he could see was the drop on Splash Mountain. After the first time, he wanted to go back to see more of the story.
