I think that is what I am going to do, too.

I'm a regular Catty Cathy this week! :cool1: We have been having trouble with our phone service for over a week now and our DSL was out all day yesterday. How odd is this: Clinton was in Pablo, Montana, yesterday (of all places) and our phone company says the service outage was out of Pablo! Coincidence? I think not! :rotfl2:

I have my colonoscopy on Friday....I am just THRILLED at the prospect of being put out for the procedure...NOT. :headache: Who else said they had an upcoming colonoscopy scheduled, too?

That would be me you are thinking of, but I haven't scheduled mine yet. I am planning on that later this summer. I have so many Drs' appointments to catch up with -dentist, eye doctor GYN..I am putting that off til a little later..

DH is heading out your way in a few weeks. He was going out there anyway to work on the house..he needs his truck so he is driving. He is going to "swing" by his folks in Detroit area, hop on over to PA for a truck cab he bought online, then head on out. He got the school to give him a grant for $5000 to take photos this summer, so it will (hopefully) pay for his gas. NO thanks to spending 2-3 weeks in the car.. The boys and I will relax by the pool...:goodvibes

Madd, I'm so sorry about all your stress with the baby birds. I know what you are going through. We had a nest right outside our bedroom window earlier this spring. You could see the momma and daddy bird feed their little one..he was pink. Then one morning, DS8 went back by that part of the yard to look for something and he found the little baby on the ground..dead.
:( ..I had to rush them off to school, and when I went back to look for him he was gone. DS8 said he was pink, so I don't think he woke up and flew away...The circle of life..What made me really sad is that must have been their only baby, because they never came back to the nest. I don't know how he got out of the nest. Now the nest is sitting there empty..:sad1: I'm with evryone else, don't call to ask about your baby birds.

Well, on that "happy note", I hope all your Freaps have a good day. School is still in session here for another 2-1/2 weeks, so the stuff I want to get done better get done soon..

If there was any way I could prove the guy was killing out season...I would turn him in. I guess, around here, they can even check your freezer for poached meat. But, with my luck, I would turn him in and they would have already eaten the ill-begotten gains! Then, no one would listen to me again after that. :confused3 He DEFINITELY has a manhood problem going on over there....

You're doing the checking right, though....not touching them, just looking. Mommas have to appreciate that! :cool1:

Maybe you can just report him and let them take it from there- I am sure they can do a little investigating of their own to see what is going on.

But I guess it might be a bit scary for you, thinking he might suspect you were the one who ratted him out- Ew- that is just wrong....poaching....reminds me of the lesson we all need to learn on the Safari ride in the AK:laughing:

What the heck is he going to do with a HUGE marble fountain of naked women out in the country in Montana....for Pete's sake!!?! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'll keep you posted....

:rotfl2: Men don't have a clue!

Poor DH wanted to do up the front yard with a fountain etc- I said, it just does not "go" - we live in trees, pine trees, woods, RUSTIC! - He was trying to do a more "elegant" look-

.......I am going for a more- not so manicured, rustic, country garden look.

Susan- maybe you can have a little spot for DHs fountain.....wayyyyyy out in the back yard:rotfl2:

For some reason, I figured this would not come, but I did get it yesterday! It went in pile of magazines on the table that continues to grow :rotfl2: But I'm looking forward to reading it!

I hear ya about the pile of mags!!:scared1:

I don't order many for myself- DH gets most of them. But I have one mag- It is called Philadelphia Style. That is still sitting in the wrapper!

Hey- CALLING ALL BON JOVI FANS! He is on the cover of that unopened mag if you want it- I will send it out to you! Free of charge!

If no one wants it here- I will post it over on the freebie board

See, now I say you should pick out one equally anatomically correct and tell him that if he gets X then you get Y.......maybe he'll rethink the fountain :rotfl:

Hey Kellie! How are your treatments going?

How are your ribs feeling?

I am doing good today. I will be spending the day in Boston tomorrow for some test and to see how I am doing with the radition and the pills. Hopefully they will give me something for the burn from the radition. It is bad and sore. But it could me worse.
The ribs are still a little sore but I keep them wrapped at work and make boss 1 wait on me so I do not do anything to hurt myself.

Here's hoping all goes well tomorrow! :cool1: Looks like we have a Bon Jovi Fan in our presence

It took me awhile to understand that he was SERIOUS about the fountain!! In my horror, I tried to talk him into this one instead:

NovpineapplefountainSm.jpg

It is smaller and no body is nekked! As you can see, DH is back there (he's about 5' 10") and DS is standing beside it (he's about 6')...and this fountain is smaller! I thought I had a photo of the one he wants but I can't find it. I still have no idea where in the heck he plans to put the darn thing! I would imagine it would need electricity to keep pumping the water...which means it would have to be near an outside outlet by the house....Good Lord!! :(

DH gets weirder as he gets older....he keeps life interesting!! ;) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Okay DH saw this picture and he said what is that so I am thinking he would oh no you can not put that in your yard. But John said we should put one in our back yard and really work on making the back yard more inviting. I asked inviting to what.:rotfl2: I like all my trees and woods.

Putting a fountain like that in our yard would be like trying to dress a pig in Chanel.:rotfl2: Sounds like something my DH would come up with though. I think they ALL start getting weird as they get older.:confused3 We have a hammock that I love on our porch(even though I rarely get time to just lie around) and DH keeps saying that he wants to move it out in the yard. It has a stand but there really isn't a good shady spot for it in the yard.:confused3 So he wants to put it out there to get bird poop all over it and for me to fry in the sun. Plus, I think the sun would fade the material pretty quickly since it's one of those fancy Hatteras hammocks that are quilted and comfy. So far I've managed to talk him out of it.

Hey everyone,
I went and spent the day with the DRS. We got good news and bad news. The bad news is that I am having a alot of skin burns and skin break down from the radition and they want to stop it for a while to let me heal. If they stop it then we could have to start all over and I am so not ready for that.

The good news if I can handle it they will finish it up in 3 weeks. So guess what I choose. To deal with it and go the 3 weeks. The DRS said they know it is painful because of how bad the burn is. I told them they are not feeling the pain ad if I can handle it then they need not worry.

So now I have to see the DR everyday before and after my treatment everyday. Then when this is all over I will need to see a DR to deal with the burn and look into skin grafs. But I so do not think I will be doing skin grafs.

 I am so sorry about the pain. You are so brave. I don't know if I could be so brave.

Kellie- You are very amazing to me. I know John will pamper you silly, but be sure to take it easy and take care of yourself. Drink lots and eat really good foods- they will help you to heal. When I worked at the VA we did lots of skin grafts- the thought of it can be a bit ick, but when they take you can look good as new. And that was at the VA- imagine what a real plastics guy could do :thumbsup2 . I'll be thinking of you :wizard: .

What do you mean they START getting weird when they get older....mine has been doing that since he starting aging at 1 day :confused3 :rolleyes1

Awwww hon, I'm sorry it's been such a witch with the burns! Have they given you silvadene to at least help with the burn(s)? And I hope their keeping you stocked with happy pills too :thumbsup2 Hopefully the next 3 weeks will go by quickly and make sure to tell John you should get a nice BIG surprise the day your finished with the treatments! Hopefully the naseau (sp?) has cut back some too. I'm ticked you've got 3 more weeks but then I also thank God you've "only" got 3 more weeks....hard to believe how far you've come already :worship: I will be thinking happy thoughts and crossing everything that its smooth sailing here on out.

Oh Kellie- I am so sorry you are in so much pain. But of course, you have to choose to continue with treatments.

I am hoping 3 weeks fly by for you!

Some pictures I got in an email and thought of you!

Cool pics! I cannot even imagine seeing that many Eagles all at once!

And since we are ont he subject of....birds.....

NOW look what is peckin' around my backyard!

Momma turkey

and her little chitlin's

I have a "wildlife menagerie" going on in my yard!:rotfl2:

This is sad- I saw miss turkey the first time last week and she had 5 or 6 babies- can't remember- but now she is only cartin' around 4:worried: I don't even want to think about it!

So today I am watching the mom turkey and her babies walking in our back yard and they go around the side of my house. I went back downstairs into my office, got up on my chair to peek out the basement window b/c I face the side yard- I pop my head up and I am face to face with this little tiny chipmunk in the grass:rotfl: He was so cute- he didn't even mind me looking at him-

I then spotted the turkeys, but I turned my head and looked to the right and there, in the grass, squaking, is one of the little birds from the nest I have been keeping an eye on!

I have too much responsiblity worrying about these poor kids! I am a basket case wondering if the few cats that roam the neigborhood might pounce on all the baby birds walking around now!

How can all of you be parents!!!?? :faint: :lmao:

I am so sorry for all you are having to go through! I have always felt that a stubbornness to survive and make it through the really rough stuff in life is such a gift...you are one gifted lady! ;) I wish we could all get together and do something special when your treatments are over and you would feel up to it...but maybe all you guys that live closer together can go out for a drink (or two...or three) and tip one back for those of us who can't attend. :thumbsup2

Some pictures I got in an email and thought of you!
OH MY GOSH! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! What outstanding photos! They are going to make great computer wallpaper! :lovestruc

I had my colonoscopy this morning....it was a cinch! :thumbsup2 I had some misconceptions about them and I had heard not so pleasant stories about them but I didn't have a bad experience at all! I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. :yay:

I worked yesterday and Walmart did not get the prescription solution in until yesterday so I didn't get started with the prep until much later than I should have last night....I was up until 1:00 this morning. But, it all worked out.

I thought I would have to be put under for the procedure but that wasn't the case. They gave me a sedative and I watched the whole thing on a tv screen...I got to see what the doctor saw. No problems in there at all. The doctor told me I wouldn't need another one for 5 years.

I was so comfortable with the procedure that, next time, I have decided to ask to forgo the sedative if I can. I really don't see why it was necessary. DH has an appointment to do it on Wednesday and I told him he should ask to not use sedative and then he could go right to work after. We're both curious as to what the doctor will say.

Then, I made DH take me out for a burger and fries...at 10:00am. :hyper:
