Jeez! I'd take the drinks and dinner over what you've described too! Now I don't feel so bad! We have the anniversary edition softail. I actually picked it out and wrote the check!
We've been riding together for almost 20 years and I was ready to make a different choice so I took the bull by the horns so to speak.
Your experience sounds like one we had up in Tennessee. We were staying in Pidgeon Forge so we got up and rode up and over the mountains to go to Cherokee Bikefest. It was sunny and beautiful until we started to get to the top...then it was bone chilling cold!!! I thought my whole body was numb and would never be the same again....until we got to the other side, the temp then hit 90 and there I was walking around in leather....sweating like a real hog (had to throw that in
) At that point I found out the the festival was DRY!!!! It was in an entirely dry county! No cold beverge for me! aaaaaahhhhhh
Thats my favorite part of being on the back...2 free hands for slurping! I resigned myself to the fact and started to shop...and suddenly the men all wanted to leave! What the $^%!!

I wear thermals under my jeans. I say every year that I am going to get a pair of fleece lined pleather chaps especially made just for me, I have not done it yet. But now I am talking about it, I should ask my tailor if he can do it!
They needed everyone there. So, he and one of the guys started back home. DH and I went on with another guy that we did not even know.
It was now about 3pm, I got a few tees and we grabbed a pretzel. There were a bunch of tents set up and I thought we would walk around--- BUT NO! DH and the biker stranger said we better start heading back home!
I would not mind if we were moving the whole time!

Live and Let Live is my motto! There is room for us all!
. I'm really greatful for this FreapChat
