FP+ secret or breaking the rules?

Hi there,
I'm curious if the following scenario suggested by a friend of mine would work and if so, is just considered a good secret or breaking the rules. I try to take advantage of all good secrets and tricks without doing anything against the rules or unethical so want to avoid doing something that I shouldn't (or if it would even work to begin with).
My husband, 2 year old daughter, and I went to Disney a few weeks ago, stayed at a resort, and got our free magic bands. The tickets for my husband and myself are linked to these magic bands. I got my daughter a magic band because I knew she'd want one if my husband and I did, but we never used it.
We decided to upgrade our tickets by an extra day and use it in a few weeks. We made a new on-site reservation, and our new magic bands for this reservation are on the way. They misspelled my daughter's name on the new band account so it does appear different than her original magic band.
What my friend is suggesting is that we use our old magic bands with the linked tickets for our regular, pre-allotted FP+ and schedule those ahead of time with MDE and ALSO obtain an additional 3 FP+ per person at the in-park kiosks on our new magic bands (linked to the resort but not linked to the tickets in any way and, because of the misspelling, curious if it would even get linked up or stay separate in my MDE account) since it seems they the in-park kiosks do not check for tickets.

So my questions are would this work? And, if so, is this considered a faux pas or just a good secret?
TIA!

The rules explicitly say this would not be allowed for reserving *advance* fast passes, but it apparently is permitted for same-day reservations at kiosks. What you're proposing is called using a "dummy band".
I would just confirm that the MyDex system doesn't have the two other bands associated with the same person. I wouldn't trust that just a spelling error would create a new, separate person. (It's simple enough to check.) If the system thinks they're the same person, that would preclude making two separate sets of same-day FP reservations.

(This is all separate from the issue that Irish already noted, which will prevent you from making the advance FP reservations in the first place.)

If both sets of the bands are all on the same MDE account that the upcoming reservation is booked under then they will not give you 3 additional at the kiosk. You'd have to have bands that are linked to a separate MDE. Not a faux pas IMO, but others may have a different opinion.

There is a whole multi-page thread devoted to this for SDFP. We used it this past summer with the separate MDE account. I have not heard of it working with multiple bands on same MDE account.

I am pretty sure you cannot make FP for the 2 year old unless something has changed since the fall. They don't have "tickets" despite the MB.
