FP at Character Meet & Greets

Do all FP+ for character meet and greets work the same way?

Is there a separate line just like any other ride and you simply access the characters in a shorter period of time? We did use it for Anna and Elsa once -- do they all work just like that?

We are considering using one for Character Spots at Epcot and Animal Kingdom, since we have a child too small for some of the big rides.

as far as I've seen yes. The AK Character Spot definitely does & the Cinderella/Rapunzel does as well.

The FP for the characters at AK isn't always turned on. It wasn't 2 weeks ago. They didn't have any wait, though.
