FP+ and Park Hopping

Or are TSMM and Fantasmic in the same tier?
Both are Tier 1 Attractions. It will be difficult to get a TSMM FP later in the day. You can easily get a Fantasmic FP as your 4th or 5th FP of the day.

You may want to do Soarin' and TT at rope drop and pre-book a late-day TSMM FP.

Thanks! The last time we were in DHS, I was able to get a Fantasmic FP without a problem. I'm hearing that TSMM isn't as hard to get anymore since the third rail opened. Do you really think I won't be able to get anything for TSMM? The only other thing I really want to do is see the Star Wars fireworks. Not sure I want to wait standby for Soarin..

You are correct about TSMM availability. I just checked for tomorrow and there are lots of slots available for a party of 3 at around 8:00p. It also helps that the SW fireworks no longer cause TSMM to shut down early.

So, if you want to rope drop TT and FP Soarin' book TSMM as soon as you tap to enter Soarin.

I'm going to try it! We're a party of 3, so I'll hope for the best!

Oh so many changes. We are going to Epcot on a slow day and then hopping to DHS in the afternoon. Does it seem like an okay idea to book Frozen Ever After in Epcot at 60 days out (will head to Soarin after a PPO Garden Grill adr) and then try on the app for Toy Story and Star Tours that day? Will also have magic bands for SDFP so could try for those in Epcot also although there may not be anything available before 2pm which is when we plan to hop.

Yes, definitely book Frozen as your FP. As soon as you have tapped and entered the FP line, use the app and book TSMM and ToT.

Haha, my family is a bunch of chickens, we went on ToT once when it first opened and never again! Same with RnR. The one experience will last a lifetime. :)

:) I was being hopeful for you as the wait times at Star Tours are usually quite low.

So it looks like I may not be able to get FEA till late morning or early afternoon even at 60 days out especially since our Epcot day is early in our trip.

If I won't be able to get FEA till 11a-1p is it worth it to not book a 2nd or 3rd FP in Epcot hoping for TSMM in DHS as our #2? Or should I expect they will be gone by then so I might as well just book three FP+ in Epcot?

So HARD to figure out what to do. Every time I make a plan it gets wiped out. Our FP+ booking day is tomorrow and I am still ironing out our plans.

I checked for tomorrow for a party of 3 and TSMM FPs are available from 3:00p until closing

You can always book 3 for Epcot and depending on crowd level when you are actually in the park, Cancel 1 or 2 FPs and immediately try for TSMM as soon as you tap and enter the FP line for FEA.

ETA: There are still FPs available for TSMM tonight for a party of 3.

The earliest I was able to get FEA was 1:40p on day 4 of our trip so I just booked 3 FP+ at Epcot with FEA being last. I'll try for TSMM right after we tap at FEA and hope for the best! Worst case we'll just try standby, it doesn't seem to be as bad as it used to be.

Thanks for the tips!

This will be our first time using FP+ and park hopping and boy is it making me nervous! Let me see if I understand correctly...

1) If you hope to use FP+ in 2 different parks in one day, you must use a max of 2 in the first park and actually can't pre-book #3 - that must be done the day-of, after you tap in at your first of the day.

2) 4th FP is ONLY available at kiosks at the park you want to book 4th FP. You can book your 2nd and/or 3rd initial FP from a different park (right after checking in for your 1st), but after that it must be at kiosk in the 2nd park.

3) You could use all 3 of your initial FP+ in either your first or second park.

Question -- I'm reading above that there is often same day availability these days for TSMM. How about Soarin? Are standards like RnRC, Everest, TT pretty much always available for later in the day? Seems like SUCH a risky strategy! I like having my exact time for the exact ride I want and never considered how complicated this might be hopping!

I really appreciate the info!

Everything can be done from the app. Beginning in April, going to a kiosk became unnecessary for 4th FPs.

I'm back again! Ok, so what if I want to hop to 3 parks in one day? If I start in Epcot can I book both the Mine Train at MK and TSMM at DHS at the same time after entering Soarin, or do I have to wait until I enter Mine Train to book TSMM at DHS?

Why oh why won't they allow us to pre-book one FP at each park?

TIA!

I have read thru the thread and am still a little confused so I am hoping to get a couple of questions answered:
1) If we only have 1 FP booked at 6:00pm for Soarin' - but plan on spending the morning at MK, can we book FP's for MK for earlier in the day on the day of??
2) Since we only have to use 1 FP at a park to be able to book another one at a different park, what about additional FP's at the same park? Once we scan our band on our first ride can we book another ride in the same park, keeping 3 active FP's at all times?
3) If we have 1 FP booked at AK for EE in mid afternoon, and we are hoping to MK in the evening, do we have to scan that first FP to be able to get the other 2 at MK or can we book the other 2 at MK the morning on the day of?

I hope these questions make sense

:thanks: in advance!
