FP+ 60 days out

I can start making my FP+ reservations tonight at midnight, so I decided to go into MDE and check it out so I could get an idea of what the site looks like. Right now it's only showing dates 30 days out. Will the 60 day options appear tonight automatically, since it will be 60 days from my hotel reservation? I'm a little worried that nothing will show up tonight.

This is normal...so normal that it is in the first section of the first post in the green link in my signature. Look for the bullet with the green and red text. Also note that it may be 1:00a when the window opens for you.

When your MDE clicks you'll get access to the dates of your trip. BEAWARE!!! It may not happen at 12midnight EDT.

I had my FP+ day last Wednesday and my MDE didn't kick in until around 1:15am..............and I wasn't the only one! You need to nap sometime today just in case

When you do finally get access its actually pretty easy...........what I did was have my list ready (with backup plans). Got my selections with the best times available at that moment......when I was done with all the days of my trip I went back and re-adjusted the times..............EASY PEASY!!!

FYI..........I wasn't unable to get A&E.........for any day. What most say the best strategy is to go to the later dates in your trip and try for them first.

When I first went in to look at midnight on Mon. it was still locked and said I couldn't make reservations until Sept. 12 (My check-in day I have a package). I refreshed and it still said the same thing even though my countdown on MDE said 60 days. At 12:10 I decided to look one more time and it was open. So don't panic if it isn't open at midnight as pp have said it clearly is not set in stone what time it will open. 1:15 am is the latest I have seen anyone mention. If you are trying for A&E I would refresh the screen every 5 or 10 minutes and start with the end of your vacation since these go extremely fast and anyone that checks in before you and is there as long as you can book before you. I couldn't get it until the 7th day of my vacation. 7DMT was not as difficult I was able to get that for my first day in the parks.

If you want A&E, book the end of your trip first. There is more availability later in the week (because earlier in the week has had more people with opportunity to book), and this week, at least, what availability there is for A&E is going fast ~ within 20-30 min after window opens.

Everything else is available at midnight.

Thank you so much! I would have been in a panic at 12 if it didn't show up! I won't be trying for A&E, so no worries there.

I just booked my FP+ last night and still made some more revisions this morning. I couldn't get in until about 10 after midnight either.

I originally booked very early, thinking that we will want to keep trying for more FP throughout the day, but went back in and spread them out a little more. Figured we are doing rope drop, so we can get some other rides in first with no lines or try to ride 7DMT first and experience the regular queue. Plus then we aren't zigzagging across the park quite so much. I'll probably second guess myself several more times this weekend.
