Evening Ladies:

Sounds like everyone had pretty good dinners. What are your plans for New Years. We will either go to a friends for dinner like we do every year or blow the whole thing off and stay home...life's been so busy lately I'm kinda liking the second option.

Oh btw, I did have a spark account. I am Pepperw23 on there too. . Now I just gotta figure it out. I apparently signed up for the DIS section over there at some point according to my home page thingie.

Ok what's a spark account??

Oh and anyone have any suggestions for reading...I've finished the Twilight Series and need something new to read.

It is Sparkpeople.com. That was me being lazy ha ha. It is a diet support website. There are forums, menu's, weight loss trackers etc... One of the forums over there is specifically people from the DIS.

Hey Ev-not sure exactly what you are looking to read but I read a book earlier this year called 90 minutes in heaven that was amazing.

Haven't heard of that one...I'll have to look it up. I read pretty well anything but Sci Fi...I was an English Major way back when and try to keep a book on the go all the times. Much better than TV.

I'm tempted ha ha. Next week we go to Duke for my Dad and he said "now I don't want to hear no whining when we get off the interstate and we are not in Florida" ha ha He knows me so well.

Evening!!! I am ashamed to admit this but I missed the fireworks. Kids were actually fighting at that moment and it just slipped my mind.

I've been working on the stuff to hopefully plan an Universal vacation and the prices are not looking bad right now. Maybe if it's low enough, DH will go along with it.

Hey Race, sorry to hear you missed the fireworks. A trip sounds like fun. We are sort of considering doing Disney in May, but I have my doubts, mainly from the financial standpoint.

That's pretty much the reason we are most likely going to skip Disney this year. I guess being so in love with Disney, I never really thought about the money we spent there compared to what we can do at other places.

Plus I have 2 older kids who would love Universal. Thrill ride junkies, you know. Can't get too much of that at Disney.

Yeah, that love of Disney is a part of what got me into the money trouble I am in!! Oh, what to do? Plus we would be sharing a room with my sister and her kids again, and as much as I love them, I am not sure I can handle that again!

Whether I could share a room or not, depends on what hotel. Which one are you thinking about? And of course, how long we would be staying would have alot to do with it.

What makes it so hard for us is that there are so many of us. 6 and there are really any affordable rooms on site that are big enough.

The last time and this time we stayed in a deluxe innkeepers room at the Boardwalk. Holds 6 people, still extremelly expensive. And we would be doing the buy 4 get 3 free deal (we booked before it was over). But we usually book our trips about a year out so we have much more time to pay for them. This time it being so close, I just don't know if I can come up with the money. Especially with the economy being so bad. I am afraid I will lose my job then what? Unfortunately I can not live on memories of my Disney trip!!
