Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

Jo, you are all early risers! AND IT PAID OFF! You were done swimming when just about every other normal person on vacation is getting their butt out of bed. Pooy on them...you know the secret!

I wasn't terribly impressed with EOS, but I do think I will give it another shot some time. :thumbsup2

I love that the girls crashed on the hammocks. ohhh...almost forgot the most important thing I wanted to write- The last picture of the girls in EP is just BEAUTIFUL! They are such lovely girls!

You have the best pictures of your girls. I love that one of them leaning back to back with Spaceship Earth in the background.

And you saw Mike S! I never see so many dissers.

Jo we were Family of the Day at GG It was so neat We were thoroughly spoiled and got free fast passes to any ride!
I can remember reading that on your dining review Rosie it sounded great :thumbsup2

Jo,no wonder you were tired! Ya'll did alot.:thumbsup2 You are really making me want to try a waterpark. Love all the pictures, especially the last one of Jess and Ellie...:goodvibes

Its interesting to know what you see in GG.I thought you would see the whole ride too.:confused3
We did do a lot didn't we :rotfl2: And my girls absolutely love the WP's well David and I do too :lmao: I'm so pleased you thought the same about GG!

Yes Jen get up early, who cares if you're tired :rotfl2: We liked EofS but we're easily pleased :rotfl: Thankyou about the photos :)

Thanks, my 2 love the back to back "attitude" pose we have them dressed as Bridesmaids doing it :rotfl2: but that time it was the PP guys idea! I know we managed to see so many DISer's :thumbsup2

Jo, I love the picture in your siggy. I have read about the Lapu night in a couple of different trippies and it sounds like you ladies had a blast! :thumbsup2 What a cool bunch! :cool1:

Garden Grill has always been one of our staples when visiting WDW. The food has flucuated between good and awesome but it is such a relaxing place to take a break midday and the prices are reasonable, DW anyway. :cool1: It takes just about exactly an hour to make a complete rotation. The bread used to be awesome. We liked the cornbread this time and I do not like cornbread usually but the rest of the breads were not worth the calories. I miss the dessert selection we got year before last when they were getting them from the Fountainview.

We get FP's for Soaring before we eat and are usually able to get on when we get done eating. As I am acrophobic I just sit and talk to folks while my husband uses his FP and then jumps back on with mine. Works for me!! We enjoy the Garden Tour as well as we live in farming country and it is interesting to see what the future might bring and besides pictures of enormous and oddly shaped veggies are always a hit around these parts. :lmao:

I was lucky enough to receive several sets of those pins where you get one for being caught doing good and have another to pass on but I have already given those ones away or I would send one to you.

What a beautiful family. I almost made the mistake of asking if I might have run into you until I checked the dates of your trip. You looked so much like a family I saw near Tony's.

I love EPCOT until it is time to walk out. It seems like it is the longest walk of all. I should learn how to drive there. I can do it to but get lost from and end up out on the interstate. Not a good thing, at all!! :scared1: Everything looks differently to me at night. Buena Vista I know up and down and backward but I tend not to veer off that road much because of my inability to know my directions. Guess you cannot be beautiful and smart. (or in my case, either) :rotfl2:

More lawn mowing to go and then I will be back to read more and check out those pictures. Thanks for the diversion. :cloud9:

We did Jenny and I'm only 2 days away from my first meeting with T :thumbsup2

I thought you hadn't started your TR yet ;) :rotfl2: Thanks for your lovely comments

What a great update! Your girls are so pretty! hose pictures have me longing for the Garden Grill! Maybe that could be my birthday dinner....:confused3

great pics!! we have never eaten at GG, my uncles family has and they were not impressed w/the food.

Another early morning, are there any late ones  we’re at BB by 7.50am and we are now so sad we’ve got our own touring plan worked out :rotfl2: So just briefly we did the family raft ride twice, caught the lazy river to the runoff rapids which we did twice, one go on double dipper, toboggan twice. We then caught the chairlift up (shows how quiet it was there was no queue) did the raft twice more and we were done and back to CSR by 10.40am when normal people were only just arriving :lmao:
You all are not abnormal--just smart DISers missing the crowds!:thumbsup2

We headed to DQ and I really don’t know why but we didn’t get any photos here :confused3

Well, dang! I have never seen inside of it!
Another question! Does your admission pay for everything inside? It sounds like a lot of fun--maybe we should try it! I bet it was a good break from the sun too.

We had a quick browse through the Virgin
:rotfl2: (just remembering the pre-trip comments!)
Could have used this in your TR title! "the search for......."

Near Canada we bumped into these guys who had no line and Ellie joined in again!
Did Dale giver you her room number too like he did Mr. Diz??:lmao:

This is so nostalgic but I still prefer the original from when I was little!
Us too--we miss the little ice man!

Jo, I have not started my TR yet. I am booked until Wednesday so maybe then?? Yardwork done, at least the mowing part. I am going out to trim the bushes a bit but not much to be done as it did not rain much while we were gone.

Car to be cleaned tomorrow and organize the books for my kids at the Community Center. They are going to take pictures for the new brochure tomorrow so I must dress up a bit. I have all my extra soaps and shampoos as well as MM lollipops for them all. They love that stuff and I love them!!

Later, Linda

Thanks Lynn, GG was good it seemed very private as you had your own booth :thumbsup2

great pics!! we have never eaten at GG, my uncles family has and they were not impressed w/the food.
The food wasn't wonderful just good family food, I think the menu changed this year, I know the dessert did which was a delicious cream and berry pastry :goodvibes

You all are not abnormal--just smart DISers missing the crowds!:thumbsup2 And it worked :thumbsup2

Another question! Does your admission pay for everything inside? It sounds like a lot of fun--maybe we should try it! I bet it was a good break from the sun too. Nearly everything is included, there are a few things but we didn't want to do them anyway :rotfl2: Oh and it's another one to get there at opening and don't go at the weekend!

:rotfl2: (just remembering the pre-trip comments!)

I was only joking as you gave some of your TR away, hope you got all your jobs done and how sweet to buy the kiddies gifts :goodvibes

Slow down would ya! :lmao:

Ok so why does CSR look like a resort I might like? I'm not flip flopping, yet, but I kind of like the look of it. The white sand reminds me of the Poly. :cloud9: :scratchin: Hmmm... if I stay moderate, I could probably squeeze in another 2 or 3 days.... no, no... can't to that. D'OH!! :headache:

I love the photo's of the girls infront of the Epcot ball. Very sassy! :thumbsup2: BTW, Maddie wants to know if Jess' blue flip flops are Tinkerbelle? (from the picture with Kenai and Koda)

It's hard for me to comment on this installment, because I don't want to give too much away from MY trip report!

The pictures of your girls are beautiful! The CSR looks like a great resort, I didn't realize how pretty it was there!

Looking forward to more!

Denise

the girls are beautiful. I just read the last 10 pages there was no way I could read all 56. LOL.

Great day Jo. I really am considering BB for next year. Love the pic of the girls as you were leaving Epcot.

Is CSR considered a Moderate or a Deluxe?

i'm just now getting caught up from where i left off when i left for disney two weeks ago! it's so funny to hear the subtle little differences between our country and yours, like the strawberry shortcake. makes sense that it's made of shortbread cookies in england, but it also makes sense that it's made of cake here as that's the name of it!

i loved the last pic of your girls in the BBB pics where they're hugging each other. i hope you're framing that one!

P1000873.jpg

what is the person behind ellie wearing??? :scared: sorry you had to experience the scary side of american fashion....although i'm sure you see stuff like that in england, too! that girl seriously needs one of those mirrors that sort of surrounds you and shows all angles!!!

DH and i are planning on playing at fantasia gardens when we go in april, but we're doing the easier course! i grew up playing golf, but i don't play as much as i used to and i don't dare trample my ego by playing the hard mini golf courses! :rotfl:

As I recall some people ( for want of a better way to describe them) wotre garbage bags and top hats :lmao: so I 'm sure Jo has seen it all .:rotfl: The Brits do tend tohave some weird fashion statements! :confused3 Right Jo ! But I also agree that lady needed to see herm rear !! :lmao:

We went straight for POC as this often has a long queue and after about 10 mins we were in, you wear a special visor thing and you’re pirates trying to sink boats and pinch their treasure by bombing the boats... Next was the jungle cruise and we’re useless you sit in an inflatable boat on a big inflatable cushion and have to row... We were now thoroughly exhausted but spotted Aladdin so jumped in the line, this is a virtual reality game, you’re trying to collect jewels whilst flying on a magic carpet... Next up was the pinball game... We then spent some time just playing the arcade games, basketball and the Starwars ride before we’d all had enough!
I've never set foot inside DQ before, but you've piqued my interest - this all sounds so cool!
We had a quick browse through the Virgin store...
Not even touching it. T, you got anything? :rotfl:

Love this shot! :thumbsup2

The girls didn’t get chosen to ask any questions but one boy, probably about 10, asked “can we eat turtles”
:rotfl2: Too funny!
Oh my gosh, this is GORGEOUS! :thumbsup2
Wow when I read this back we did so much today and it’s no wonder we were in bed by 9pm :rotfl2:
You amaze me, Jo. I don't know how, but somehow you guys manage to pack a ton of stuff into your day, and yet it seems so relaxed at the same time. You are a PRO! :cool1:

Slow down would ya! :lmao:
Hey you were all moaning it would take till Christmas :rotfl2:

Ummmm T don't go there you wouldn't be happy, we all know you're a mod snob :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I love the photo's of the girls infront of the Epcot ball. Very sassy! BTW, Maddie wants to know if Jess' blue flip flops are Tinkerbelle? (from the picture with Kenai and Koda)
Nope they're from Tesco (a large supermarket over here) but Ellie has some Tink ones from our 2005 trip which still fitted her!!!!

It's hard for me to comment on this installment, because I don't want to give too much away from MY trip report!
Ooooo that sounds intriguing, hey are you trying to get more readers :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

The pictures of your girls are beautiful! The CSR looks like a great resort, I didn't realize how pretty it was there!
Thanks and it was a pretty resort :)

the girls are beautiful. I just read the last 10 pages there was no way I could read all 56. LOL.
Welcome and thanks for reading, if you go to page 1 there are quick links to just the TR so you can bypass the replies :goodvibes

Great day Jo. I really am considering BB for next year. Love the pic of the girls as you were leaving Epcot.

We love BB Janet, it seems to have the most rides for the girls age, not sure whether Jimmy would prefer TL ?!? CSR is a mod :)

It's so weird what is different

i loved the last pic of your girls in the BBB pics where they're hugging each other. i hope you're framing that one!
Thanks Dawn I must have some of them printed off :thumbsup2

what is the person behind ellie wearing??? sorry you had to experience the scary side of american fashion....although i'm sure you see stuff like that in england, too! that girl seriously needs one of those mirrors that sort of surrounds you and shows all angles!!!
You know I didn't even notice her until someone else said, obviously my radar wasn't in tune :rotfl2:

DH and i are planning on playing at fantasia gardens when we go in april, but we're doing the easier course! i grew up playing golf, but i don't play as much as i used to and i don't dare trample my ego by playing the hard mini golf courses!
I've just got back into golf after 14 years of not playing, you could easily cope with the hard course but the other one is more fun :goodvibes

:lmao:
We're really influenced by US TV now Rosie, the kids all wear similar stuff here as you all do!

I've never set foot inside DQ before, but you've piqued my interest - this all sounds so cool!
Leo is probably a little young, there again we don't go on the scary stuff and still found lots to do!

Not even touching it. T, you got anything? :rotfl:
It's all in your minds you know :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

You amaze me, Jo. I don't know how, but somehow you guys manage to pack a ton of stuff into your day, and yet it seems so relaxed at the same time. You are a PRO! :cool1:
Thanks V, anyone would think we were only there a couple of days the amount we fit into each day wouldn't you :rotfl2: And you'd also think we did everything we wanted to too :sad2:

Hi Jo!

I think it's so neat that they have the photopass guys hanging around at the waterparks! Since people don't tend to bring their cameras, you don't often see pics from there. :)

Next time (4 long years from now), I will make sure we make it to a waterpark. Great idea to get there so early that you're done before anybody else even arrives. :snooty:

We haven't tried Earl of Sandwich yet either -- I'll have to put that on my list.

Great update as always (and a very busy day). :hippie:
