Has anyone brought a formula fed baby to Disney and Disney resort? I'm staying at art of animation. I cannot buy liquid (ready feed) bc she is on soy, and it's hard to find. Do I have to bring my own kettle? I can't bring a case of water in my luggage. Don't really want to constantly buy bottled water four times plus a day. I have the playtex drop in system. Can anyone plus share with me there experience and how they manged everyday at the park, and on the plane and how they prepared bottles, and how they boiled water. Also any baby food packing suggestions too? Thanks!

We have done formula on two trips. But, we don't boil the water, even at home. Maybe place an order through Garden Grocer for bottles of water. Add diapers and snacks to reach the minimum needed for your order.

We brought our 5 month old to Disney last year and stayed at All Stars. We used some bottled water and heated it in microwave in food court when needed (brought glass container to heat it). Also, a brita filtered bottle might help if you just need to have filtered water. You can fill it with hot water and filter it through the top into the bottle. It depends on how warm your LO likes the formula. Mine got use to room temp after a while and was okay with formula either way.
Also, if you don't have them, the formula carry containers, that have separators in them where you can dispense a specific amount, are great! We would pack 2 with different amounts in each section and mark them with a wax pencil on the side of each section, then we could make a certain size bottle depending on what was needed without having to carry a measuring scoop.
Good luck! Disney with a baby is fun!!

Sorry, missed the rest of the question too! On the plane we carried a couple bottles with formula already in them and purchased bottled water at the airport. We asked for ones that weren't in the cooler so they were room temp. If we need to warm quickly, take into a restroom and run under HOT water for 2 mins, swishing the bottle constantly. It gets it warmer.
For food packing, we took a lot of baby food packs (not jars) in our suitcase inside of a couple square shaped tupperware containers. This helped to keep them from being smashed. If you go to a restaurant, ask for them to prepare some baby food for you, the LO usually LOVE IT! So fresh and natural.
Hope that all helps :)

Diapers.com has similac soy ready to feed 8oz bottles. I'm not sure if you use thy brand, but if you do, you could buy online and ship to your resort.

When DD was still on formula, we brought a tub or two of powdered formula with us and then bought bottled water at the store. We had a car, so it was easy, but if you won't have a car, you could order water online.

I pre-measured the powder into a 3-section formula dispenser and took that to the parks. I filled the bottles with bottled water in the room and brought them with us. DD never liked the drop-ins, so we just brought her regular bottles with us.

Thanks everyone! All great ideas, which is helping my stress level about bring the baby go down a bit..phew! I have looked into the grocery delivery service, but not really an option for the dreaded budget lol! But still a great tip none the less! I will keep all ur ideas and suggestions in mind! Thanks a bunch :D

We do that or send an order from Amazon to our hotel.

We took DD when she was on formula. We did use the ready to go kind so it was easier for us. Just have water delivered to your hotel. If you don't want to use a grocery delivery service (which is what we did for formula, diapers, wipes, etc., breakfast and snack foods- but we were there for 8 nights so it was easier than bringing it all for us), you can have water and whatever else you need shipped from a store directly to the hotel to arrive about the same time you do. That is way cheaper than renting a car or buying water by the bottle several times a day. There are microwaves in the food court and in the baby care centers at the parks.

Sometimes a baby used to one kind of formula won't like another kind, so if you do use ready to feed, make sure he/she will take it. Neither of my kids could tolerate powdered formula. It caused explosive problems.

My kids drank formula prepared with - tap water! I alway wonder what people drank before bottled water.

You can always premix it at the hotel and heat them in the bottle warmers in the parks. That's what I did when we went Christmas 2012. But we were in our own camper that had a filter for the water. That also meant heating in a different bottle then pouring into the playtex. For my daughter (many years ago) we had a brita water bottle. So I would fill it with hot tap water and run it through then mix the formula in. Not sure how abundant the hot water is though? Again, you can go to the baby care station and get hot water there.

Start now getting her use to room temperature bottles. Dd never took warm bottles. It made life so much easier.

did not see this mentioned but what ever formula you plan on using, try at home if it is going to be a change as nothing is worse than a hungry baby and baby does not like formula you have. this is true if you use ready to feed at home and you try powder before you leave home.

My SIL formula fed her son, we had bottled water at the hotel and took several bottles with us to the park. It was simple. They never warmed his bottles at home so he was perfectly happy with room temperature bottles.

My DD also drank soy, and I found all brands of ready made bottles. You might check online if you can't find them at your local Target/Walmart/whatever. Ready to feed is so much easier!!

The baby centers at each park were so awesome...quiet, relaxing, and they sold/stocked anything you need. If I remember they had microwaves too but maybe someone who has been there more recently can tell you for sure...it's been 8 yrs since we had a baby!

They do have microwaves. Also, thumbs up to the suggestions of testing any ready to made formula before you go that route. My youngest wouldn't drink it. Also, agree with room temperature. Only way my kids took bottles, so great to never have to warm one up (totally not judging those who warm them).

My daughter always took hers room temperature but my son started on warmed pumped breast milk and we had to warm his bottles for quite a while, even after switching to formula. I might look into a bottle warmer at a second hand kids store if you need warm milk. I would use tap water. I know you use drop ins, so maybe get a bottle for the warmer and then dump it. This seems like a pain, but might work when you are in the room. They may have warmers and/or microwaves at the baby care centers for when you are in the parks. But I agree.... getting the baby to take room temperature bottles would be a ton easier!

We had a formula divider like this one that we used for traveling. It worked great, dump in the pre-measured formula and the water, shake and feed.

Yes work on going to room temp with the bottles. It might be easier than you think. The hotel should sell jugs of bottled water and then bring a reusable bottle to fill the water to take to the parks. You can bring bottles of water- what you will need- though security at the airport. For your travel day. Oh yea - we also used the formula presorter like was previously posted.
Have fun!
