How about it?
I find that as hard as it is to do one of my exercise options, if I do it and write it down, I feel that much better and SO happy I did it.

So maybe starting today, after you have worked out, tell us about it. How you felt before, during and after and let us celebrate getting over those humps together!

Good luck everyone!
Cathy

This is a fabulous idea, CC!!! :) I can't wait to read everyone's "success" stories!

Thanks Cathy!

I just finished a 45 min strength/aerobic work out. Before I started, I felt encouraged by your kind words. During, I felt strong ! Now I feel kind of let down. A bit of it is my personality. I tend to obsess about whatever it is I'm trying to do. DH says that's passion. I say pathology. ;) Whatever it is, I never feel like I've done enough. I'm going to start walking with DH again at lunch, until the weather warms up. On a cheerful note, my puppy, Nanook, had a fabulous time jumping up and down with me and barking and just having a great time. He really kept it fun! I never knew I had such a great cheering section.:p Thanks again Cathy. I do feel better!

Oh I LOVE the idea, Cathy. Unfortunately I have nothing to report so far today. I was up late last night and slept in this morning. I will do my after dinner walk, though. :D

Woo-hoo! I took an unscheduled power walk just a while ago and it turned into a jog half way through! I feel wonderful. My lungs felt like they were going to burst when I was getting closer to the finish line, but I made myself jog past my driveway just to prove that I could. :)

Thanks for starting this thread, CC!!!! It's a good kick in the butt.

Still plan on taking my regular power walk with my husband and my sister tonight. Now it's off for a healthy lunch! (I'm going to get my 5 lb. clippie by the end of next week, I know it!!)

I just finished my Richard Simmons exercise tape! I felt really good while doing it and felt like I was able to do it at a higher intensity than usual! (Sometimes I'm tired and ready to quit after the warm up! :D )

I'm horrible at getting myself to exercise but I found that during that video I can drink about 30 oz. of water which gets me a great start on my water requirement for the day. I honestly hate the stuff and if I don't exercise I usually don't drink enough.

I'm trying something new - writing down a goal for the week and putting it on the fridge to remind me. This week my goal is to drink all my water every day and exercise at least 3 times. Got one out of the way! (I'm no one to give advice because I'm usually a huge failure at all this!)

What a fun thread CC! I love reading about everyone's successes! I think Pooh sized people can find a million reasons to be down on themselves (me included) so its great that we can brag a little when we do something really hard like exercise!!!

I did it!!!
I went back to Curves after not going for a month and I feel great!

You guys are inspiring me and I feel so much better having done this. Thanks!
CC

Man! Are we good or what?!? Good for us! I'm in such a better mood than I was this a.m. Just got back from lunch and walk with hubby. It was very nice! I'm going to make myself a cup of tea (antioxidants!), and take a 15 min. break. Way to go everyone!

Looks like everyone is having a great day!!! :teeth: Congrats!!!! I walked around the mall at lunch time (and did some clothes shopping as well :o ).

Okay, only 5 minutes on the elliptical trainer today. I had to get new glasses and while I was waiting the hour for them to be made I did the mall walk. Not much but it's something.

Great idea, CC.

Well, I was alittle down in the dumps about my "reversal" (.4lb gain) so tonight I went to the gym and rode the bike for 60 min. and then weight trained! It's a rainy, Friday night so it wasn't easy! I do feel better and more relaxed. If nothing else, exercise is a marvelous stress reliever! Next week, I want to work out 5X before my next weigh-in. Wish me luck!

I did a 2+ mile walk this evening. It felt really good. And I was thinking about this thread. lol :D

Congratulations for getting over that hump everyone!!

Let's see what we can do tomorrow!!

Whoever exercises first gets to start "Celebrating Saturday's Exercise Successes!"

Wish me luck, I weigh in tomorrow and after a very disappointing 2.8 lb gain, I'm hoping to at least have lost one pound! :)
Cathy

Hey Cathy,

Hang in there.....keep trying....you will be successful! Someone once said to me, "Consider how long it took you to gain this weight, that is how long you should give yourself to lose it!" I am there with you this week. Keep plugging away! It's not natural to just lose constantly. The weekend snow storm hit all of us hard!:D

Thanks for the encouragement. :)

I'm embarassed to say we didn't get the storm, it was to the south of us!! LOL I did go to a black tie dinner and my DH surprised me with a tray of cheese and crackers and champagne, so that was my downfall I think! :)
CC

Ok! So it was cabin fever or....winter blues...or?....time to take a little break to get your head clear? I had a week like that and I have no regrets because I enjoyed everything I did and I still did much better than I used to and ......I am back on track!

Just want to say congratulations to everyone who posted to this thread! :)

Keep on looking for reasons to exercise!!!! I am sure that over the next few weeks I won't see much of a loss on the scale, but I know I'll be adding muscle mass.

We can do this! :)

Someone needs to jump start me...I just can't get motivated to exercise and I know I need to :(

Hey Glo,

I had a little plateau recently so I worked out hard for the last 4 days and I finally saw a breakthrough today. So.....look at working out as a way to speed your journey and allow you to have a little extra without paying for it!

Hey Glo,

Do you ever have a moment in your day where you think "I'd rather be exercising than doing this!!!" That's when you do it. There is the obvious benefit-you did your workout. Another is you took control and deciced not to be a slave to your daily routine! It will all be there when you get done, and you'll feel so much better having done it, that the mundane becomes, well, less mundane.;) Good luck, but even if today turns out to be a bust, tomorrow always forgives. Keep the Faith!

Tracy

BTW, I have yet to do ANY of my exercise today! And I had Chinese food last night! Yuck! Yuck! And double YUCK! That's good though! Since I've been eating healthy, that stuff is just nasty to me! :p I'm so glad!
