For those of you who Roll :)

This is a question for those of you who roll your clothes when packing. (to add more room to your bags) Do you also put your clothes in large ziplock bags? I'd also like to know what is the condition of the clothes when you unpack? Are they wrinkled? And how much ahead of time do you pack? I'm planning on stating to pack at the end of summer for our DIS CON 2001 trip. I'm planning on rolling, but I'm afraid that my clothes will be wrinkled when we arrive to WDW. I sure don't want to have to iron in WDW :)
Thanks for any help. Gerri

I packed the afternoon/evening before we left & was able to un-roll about 24 hrs. later. (early flight) Knit tee's were a bit wrinkled but after hanging they looked okay. Had an iron in the room but no way am I touching an iron on vacation! Even a curling iron-lol! Jeans and shorts looked great. Didn't roll everything- depended on how it was fitting in my bags. (DH wouldn't let me touch his stuff once he saw me rollin'!)

I'll be on vacation, don't care if my clothes are wrinkled. ;) :D  <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz"> :) ;)

I rolled our clothes and they looked fine. For the children I rolled the day's outfit all together, so each morning I just handed them a roll and they got dressed! I folded the clothes as neatly as I could without wrinkles and rolled very tight.

I'm planning on rolling the kids outfits like that too. I'm also putting each seperate outfit in a seperate ziplock bag :)

Okay what exactly is the purpose of rolling vs folding you clothes??and putting them into ziploc bags??

I put clothes in the zip locks bag for convenience. I put an entire outfit in each bag. Including socks and underware. All the kids have to do is pull out a bag and they can dress themselves, and I don't have to hunt for socks etc. And I know they will match. I even put my clothes in bags too. My hubby thought I was nuts but he too now puts his clothes in a bag.

It is just easier for me with 4 kids. and it saves on arguements. They pick out their "bag" the night before and once they get up they can dress while I get ready.

I never heard of rolling cloths as a space saving tip. The reason I do it is because I heard it PREVENTS wrinkles.

This probably won't save you time, and I like to roll up vacation clothes, t-shirts, etc., but if I have pants or jackets or shirts that I don't want to wrinkle I bundle-fold the clothes.

To save time typing it out, try this BUNDLE-FOLDING LINK and scroll down until you see it described. It always works for me. I hope this helps someone..........Ray
