On our last trip, DD22 and I ate at Boma and loved it! This trip, DH will be joining us and we would like to take him there. Only problem is this man is not willing to take a chance he will not like something. He needs food he feels comfortable trying... can't look weird or have the least bit "different" spices.

So.. we would like to go on a night they will be serving prime rib. I read in a trip reprt that was on Monday. Do the food selections rotate every other day or every 3rd day? I have read both. Monday is the only day of our 8 day stay we can't go to Boma.

Thanks for any help!

Hmmm...I can't give you an exact answer on their 'food rotation' other than we just ate there last Saturday and Prime Rib was one of the food options.

We absolutely loved Boma!

We were there on a Wednesday in April and they had Prime Rib.

Perhaps you could give the restaurant a call and explain the situation to them. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help if they could. They may even be willing to prepare something for him.

I called them to see if there was anything they could do for DH's b-day. They even had the pastry chef call me back since he wasn't in when I called. Couldn't have been nicer. Got the number thru PS.

:)

When we were there in sept they said the dinner menu changed on a 3 night rotation.

I ate there last Tuesday and Saturday and both nights they served prime rib and flank steak. Some of the other items were different.

curious as to what they change so I am jumping on board:bounce:

Prime rib is served nightly. The accompanying roasted meat rotates. It can be lamb, ribs, pork, etc. The soups change on a rotational basis too. (There are four separate rotation menus for Boma). Some of the side dishes change also.

Be warned that I took a family member to Boma who is NOT an adventurous eater and he hated it, even the prime rib. He claimed he could taste "funny spices" in every dish. Was a real disappointing evening for all concerned.

Personally I don't find Boma that exotic, and truly enjoy the food there. Not everyone does, so don't be surprised when someone responds negatively to the selections there.

The chefs will prepare a completely separate dish (dishes) for you if asked. I've seen folks getting any number of different entrees upon special request.

You may want to keep that in mind.

Thanks everyone for the answers! Looks like we are ok to go any night.

DH is the type who will not complain and would starve before asking for something special. He will go along, nibble a bit and then come back to the room and make a huge bowl of cereal! Oh, well. DD and I love Boma and really don't want to skip it on this trip. I think I will call this afternoon and make our PS.

Maybe we will go to his favorite, the Yachtsman Steakhouse, twice. He would certainly be happy about that!

Thanks again all! I knew the great folks here would help.

They serve prime rib every night. My teenage son is very fussy about food and he finds quite a bit to eat at Boma. He loves the prime rib and then gets some food at the kids area-chicken fingers etc. He loves the breads and the desserts. Boma has something for every taste and it is fun to taste some different foods if you want to.
