Also is there any good fast food / Buffet / Chinese / To go restaurant outside disneyland? for night craving late dinner

Thanks all

For fast food, we LOVE the countdown chicken fusilli at red rocket's pizza port in tomorrowland, HUGE portion, my oldest DD15 and I can share this and we both get full. popcorn::

We love White Water Snacks in the GCH. Steak nachos are huge and yummy. I find that the kids meals here are big enough for my kids to share.

MMMMmmmm, my favorite topic.. food. I love the skewers in Bangal Barbeque. quick, easy to eat on the move & most importantly DELICIOUS!!!! On really hot days I have to have an ice cream bar. yummy.:mickeybar

We like the burgers at Hungry Bear in DL .

I agree with jemilah. The burgers at Hungry Bear are pretty good. The smoked turkey legs found at various vendor carts are good too.:thumbsup2

But the view is great at hungry bear !!!!!!!!! Don't you think a nice view makes food taste better???? OH and the burgers in Fantasy land are nasty.

I also vote for White Water in GC.

The monte cristo in either BB or Cafe Orleans.

The enchiladas at the mexican resturant (drawing a blank on the name)

The chicken fusilli already mentioned

Bengal BBQ everything is good

I also really like the fried chicken with redbeans and rice at the other resturant in New Orleans square.

In DTD I love the gumbo at Jazz kitchen express, and the Jambalya is pretty good as well.

Inside DL - Blue Bayou - is a fabulous place to sit beside The Pirates of the Caribbean ride that passes thru the restaurant and watch the fire flys glow in the trees, and the food is awesome! Try the Monte Cristo sandwich it is a real treat!!

Plaza Inn - The Chicken Dinner is awesome!! Skip the other dinner chose it doesn't even compare to the Chicken Dinner, and chicken isn't even one of the things I like, so it has to be great for me to recommend it!! There is a Pooh Bear Character Meal at breakfast that is very fun, and the food is self serve so you can pick your favorites.

The Golden Horseshoe - this lunch with a Musical Showdown and the Best Chicken Strips at the Best price in all of Disney!! Go early before the lunch rush. Skip the desserts they are expensive and very disappointing!! [side note my Dh bought me a Tinker Bell Straw that glows, it turns on and off, I love it!]

Everyone is always looking for a cheap meal at DL, in Downtown Disney,
Wetzels Pretzels, has pretzel hot dogs, that are really good, you pick what dip you would like, I chose melted chedder cheese. Yummy!!

Actually, the BEST chicken strip meal and deal is the kids' meal at WWS. You get 3-4 huge strips and fries or fruit and a drink (w/free refills!) for $5.99. My kids split this meal.

You just get the strips at the Horseshoe, and it's $7.99.

This is a great thread!:) We will be there Labor Day weekend as well. We plan to eat mostly counter service food due to a tight budget. We recently went over Memorial weekend and ate at some really nice sit-down places including Napa Rose (WOW- what a treat!). This time we are going to be cheap. Some of our best trips are when we are on a strict budget??? Thanks for all the tips!:thumbsup2

I've been waiting for a thread like this!!!

Is there any difference in the Monte Cristo sandwich at Blue Bayou and Cafe Orleans? And where do you get the Mint Julep everyone talks about?

Finally, best counter service at DCA?

Thanks everyone! :goodvibes

Same sandwich, the one at BB comes with soup or salad, hence the extra cost, but the sandwich itself is the same.

All that is coming to mind at DCA is the hotdog stand in Holywood, and the hamburger place next to soaring

AT DCA my family loves "Corn Dog Castle" - biggest corns dogs ever! On the healthier side my favorite place for lunch is the "Pacific Wharf Cafe". They offer yummy salads, sandwiches, and a variety of bread bowls. If you go to ALLEARS.net or the MouseForLess.com (under "Trip Planning" then "Disneyland", then "Dining") you can look at menus from places to eat at Disneyland.

The only over counter service we eaten at in Disneyland is at the Hungry Bear, and a place in New Orleans Square where they serve the Gumbo and Clam Chowder Bowls. This time around we'd like to try something new.

Have fun!pluto:
