Food and Wine? Sounds Divine! An October TR - 12/2 A PTR Link!

And then we walked about 30 feet to find a lonely PP so took the opportunity to maximize our $150 DVD
Well worth stopping. Good family pictures! :thumbsup2

He came back and said, “You’ll love the pictures I just took but you’ll have to wait to you get home!” So it was a nice surprise when we did return home to find these little lovelies waiting on my account to be edited and purchased.
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

That is awesome! He looks like he's having a blast! "Get liquored up at the Tune In lounge and take funny photopass pictures" just made its way onto my Disney Bucket List. :rotfl:

But then, when they were done taking pictures, the matriarch of the family turned towards everyone that was waiting and gave this type of smile
AAAAHHH I hate that!!!! I always see things like this at Disney World, whether it is cutting in "line" like that or butting in front at parades or whatever... and they kind of play it off as cultural differences / not knowing that they are doing anything wrong. But deep down, you know they know what they're doing. :rolleyes1:headache:

So when we got back to BLT, we let DM take a shower while we got DS set up for bed and we got ready for our hot date night…at Epcot!:cheer2:
I hope you kept your DH up and moving. Something tells me if he would have laid down at that point, he might be down for the count. :rotfl:

Oh my goodness, those pictures of DH are HILARIOUS!!! :rotfl2: I love that you took pictures of him taking pictures and caught that guy staring. What a riot!

I had to scroll past that girl smiling, is that from some kind of horribly scary movie?

Shame on those people cutting in line.

O M G .......... those PP photos of your DH are hilarious!!!

And the expression on the guy's face (the one who is staring at your DH) is just too funny. :rotfl2:

Now when it comes to the line jumpers at the topiary, I think I might have just used my teacher's voice and spoken in German. :rotfl2: Works quite often. :lmao:

Your mum is an angel to send the two of you off for a fun night at Epcot. Oh well, on the other hand ...... I think you two just deserved a night out on the town. :thumbsup2

I'm really enjoying your report. Love having date night at WDW...bring grandparents are great! We just did that last summer and loved having them there. Can't wait to hear about it.

Your DH is a scream! Love the pictures of him. :thumbsup2
And I don't blame your DM for wanting to give him a wide berth!!!!

Great family pictures. You definitely maximised your PP+.

Looking forward to date night. :thumbsup2

I know!!! I'm so excited for you! Please do a TR!:worship:

I definitely WANT to do a TR. The other couple we're going with has come to know my crazy obsessive levels of WDW love - but I only just recently explained the DIS and TRs to them (I was actually nervous to tell them :rotfl:). Their first reaction was "Don't put pictures of us on there." Of course I will completely respect that and not use their pictures, I just feel like that could make it a little more difficult to write. And to be honest, DH and I will be TTC after this trip, and I thought it would be fun to document the trip and whatever life stuff I'm going through at the same time, just like you did :good vibes

The pictures of DH at DHS had me laughing out loud. SO funny!!!! I also enjoyed your breakdown of the bystander response. Also, great use of a gif to illustrate the woman's creepy/evil smile. Good for you guys for taking the high road.

Hey - The Tune In Lounge just loosened him up a little. Look at all the fun he had and how funny that you were capturing it all from another angle. Of course, poor little Calvin looks completely uninterested. Just wait! :rotfl2:

Then the Brazilian matriarch. There are words for her that are simply not very DIS friendly. You were certainly a good sport about it and the pictures turned out so cute. :thumbsup2

yay, I haven't been on the DIS in awhile and I come back to an update. Hahahha, I love that you captured the disney-judger (the guy at DH's PP shoot ) Too funny. I still crack up at the lady who yelled loudly to her companion "it's only 11 am!" when I was buying a beer at DCA.

The Monsters Inc Topiary is super cute.

Hi! Came over here upon Dugette's recommendation and totally loving your TR! popcorn::

You guys crack me up, and your hubby reminds me of my hubby at moments, like the tune in lounge moment, lol... :lmao:

Anyway, I have been reading a long for a couple weeks or so and I am all caught up but thought I would stop just lurking and comment already! Can't wait to read more!!

I didn't know she had that done. Was it recent? :rotfl: I can already see us taking pictures of them together showing off their scars in front of the castle!
Ha ha, that would be cute! :goodvibes I can't remember if I ever mentioned it in my TR, but she had the mole removed shortly after our Dec. trip - early January. They actually wanted to do it before, but agreed to wait because it would be annoying on vacation (like she couldn't swim). Turned out to be nothing, but it was a mole that looked like melanoma, but was actually innocent enough - best to have it removed, though, or it would have needed to be monitored for the rest of her life. So, if you look at her intro photo in my TR, you can see the mole on her ankle - that's a scar now. It's not too bad, but we have to make sure to use sunscreen on it, since it's more sensitive skin now, I guess. She doesn't mind it.

Off to catch up on your updates now! :cool1:

:lmao: Your DH was having so much fun that evening!! :rotfl2: Love the Photopass pics! :thumbsup2 That's hilarious that the photographer indulged him, despite the funny stares from onlookers. You also got some other very nice family pictures. How nice of DM to offer you a date night. Excited to hear how that was! :yay:

those pictures from the 2nd PP you came across came our really well - he really got you guys in focus!

And not sure if it was the Tune-In or the Looney Tune - but your DH seemed to be in a good mood :

ugh, I hate people who knowingly do something wrong and give you that look that makes it clear they feel they are special snowflakes

oooh "hot date night!"

:lmao:He was in a very good mood!

That woman. I so regret not speaking up. Or at least allowing my mom to have at her:lmao:. But the next day, I don't let that happen again:rolleyes1

love the picture of your DH with Tinkerbell in his hand! looked like a really fun day at DHS xx

He's such a crazy man, that's why I love him!

Well worth stopping. Good family pictures!

Alright Andy, now i'm expecting to see some crazy Photopass pictures when you go in December!:rotfl: It should actually be at the top of your to-do list now!

Let's just say, that I don't let that happen again;)

Oh my goodness, those pictures of DH are HILARIOUS!!! I love that you took pictures of him taking pictures and caught that guy staring. What a riot!

I had to scroll past that girl smiling, is that from some kind of horribly scary movie?

Shame on those people cutting in line.

Isn't that a creepy GIF? I have no idea where it's from, but it was the perfect way to describe what this woman did.

O M G .......... those PP photos of your DH are hilarious!!!

Isn't that guys expression hilarious!? I love seeing other peoples reactions:lmao:

It was definitely nice of her to let us go out and have some fun. She also wasn't feeling too well and just wanted to hang out in the room and relax and watch TV, so it was probably a nice break for her too.

I'm really enjoying your report. Love having date night at WDW...bring grandparents are great! We just did that last summer and loved having them there. Can't wait to hear about it.

Hey thank you!:goodvibes My DM definitely enjoys going with us now, which is great!

Your DH is a scream! Love the pictures of him.

I had to look up 'wide berth' :lmao:

Date night coming right up!

I definitely WANT to do a TR. I'm sure you could still write up a great TR without their pics in it! And YAY FOR TTC!!!:banana: We need more Disney babies around:dance3: Hope everything works out for you two :goodvibes

Then the Brazilian matriarch. There are words for her that are simply not very DIS friendly. You were certainly a good sport about it and the pictures turned out so cute.

Oh he was all loosey goosey :rotfl:

Mary Ellen, the next day I was not a good sport :rolleyes1

OH geez. But it's 11am at DCA which means someone got a late start on purchasing alcohol :lmao:;)

Hi and Welcome! :lmao: I'm glad to hear that my DH isn't the only one who acts up from time to time. But I enjoy it when he acts a little crazy and child-like from time to time!

And thanks for coming out of lurkdom! Another update coming right up!

Ha ha, that would be cute! :goodvibes I can't remember if I ever mentioned it in my TR, but she had the mole removed shortly after our Dec. trip - early January. That's great that it turned out to be nothing. And you're right, better to have it removed than always wondering if it can turn out to be something later on. :goodvibes

I love looking for peoples reactions in the crowds! :lmao: That update coming right up!

:lmao: DH was having way too much fun with those pictures!! Oh priceless!

I especially love the frames I put around them! I really should blow up one of his photos and post it right outside our front door to keep people away :lmao:

It actually took a while to get over to Epcot for some reason. In fact when we were standing waiting for a monorail, we had debated about turning back because we had no other option. MK, I’m pretty sure had the Halloween party that night. Thinking back, we could have just went over to the Poly and had a few drinks there. Oh well. But by the time we had taken our first Photopass picture at the entrance of Epcot, it was already 8:25pm

Agh PDA!

And off we went. But to do what? Let’s see what booths we can knock out!

Oops sorry girls that flash is bright!

I love the starry pathlights

I love this fountain, especially when it plays Yanni. I remember I was going through some very bad times back when I was 19 and 20 and one day my Dad and Mom took me on a drive, just to cruise around, and my dad had put on a Yanni CD as cruising music. I just remember thinking how calm and soothing it was and when I had heard the music here for the very first time in 2008, there was a soothing force that had come over me and it still does to this day. Thanks Dad!:littleangel:

Alright, let’s grab our adult juice to help get this night started!

A Mango Habenero Margarita por favor!

We had already been to a lot of the booths in that area, so we started walking to one booth that we hadn’t visited yet but had to stop along the way. This place just looks amazing at night. Pictures just don’t do it justice.

And then there was a PP so that’s a must!

And we arrived at our destination

DH stood in line for us

A peek at the glowing ball

We decided to share the Zapiekanki – Toasted Mushroom, Caramelized Onion and Cheese Bread with House-made Ketchup

This was very good and warm but filling for a shareable piece. While DH was in line, he noticed that they were beginning to shut down the booth. I had assumed the booths would close when the park closed. Nope. They closed at 9. Okay, well at least we got one booth done. Oh well. As we stood eating our Zapiekanki, a group in front of us started to form

Continued from previous post...

Almost time for Illuminations. And I was excited!

Are those fireworks off in the distance??

For not staking out a spot, we got pretty lucky with a view I’d say

About 5 minutes till the end of the show, two women stood next me and when Illuminations ended, one of them started crying and then started to laugh because she didn’t know why she was crying. I told her because it was beautiful and moving and they both agreed and said that it was their favorite show throughout all of WDW. I totally agree. The music is so moving and the message itself is just amazing. It’s my second favorite Disney show next to World of Color over at Disney’s California Adventure.

It was now 9:15. Illuminations was over, booths were closed up for the day and DH was still a little hungry since we had such a early dinner at PTC. I suggested grabbing a drink and some guacamole at the Ditch and then DH remembered Tutto Gusto in Italy since we were standing right in between Italy and Germany and mentioned he wanted Wine and Cheese

Minutes later we were seated at the bar and given a menu. I chose this sampler

Love the look and feel of this bar. It’s so warm and cozy.

Here’s my wine sampler

I believe DH chose something with all Reds. We had told the bartender that we were going to order some things to nibble on and he suggested to perhaps sit at a table where we could spread out more. Sure! So he got a waiter to move all our stuff for us and felt much more comfortable.

When we were looking at the menu, we weren’t excited about the groupings of the different items and would have rather picked one from each grouping and thought we should ask if we could substitute different items. So when our waitress came she told us we can pick whatever we wanted and didn’t have to go by the recommended groupings. Yay!

We selected the Prosciutto di Parma

And we went with two different cheeses. It looks like there is only one showing, but I remember specifically that we had asked her for something soft and she recommended one off the menu (I think it was Robiola?) and then a semi-hard cheese, the Fontina

It was soooo good and filling.

It doesn’t look like a whole lot on the plate, but I remember there was no way we could finish it and I felt bad but I was too stuffed.

We ended up leaving Epcot around 10 and made it back ‘home’ way faster than we had come.

Tomorrow was MK day….and not a good day for DM…:sad2:

I just noticed the Churro shirt DH has on! Every time I see that at WDW, I always think of you guys after reading one of your previous TR's! :)

My DH loves that fountain too!

What a relaxing way to end the night...wine and cheese..yum! :dance3:

Tutto Gusto looks like such a neat place to chill for a while. Cheese can be really filling! I can't wait to try it someday. We didn't get to Poland on that trip. There's just too many things to try which is why we have to keep going back! :thumbsup2

We decided to share the Zapiekanki – Toasted Mushroom, Caramelized Onion and Cheese Bread with House-made Ketchup

Oh my gosh! I want some of that. ;) Poland = check! I'll have to remember that one.

Awww that's so cool! WoC is really awesome too. :thumbsup2

I finally stopped by Tutto Gusto in December and it was better than I expected.

I love the Wallace and Gromit gif. ::yes:: That brings back such good memories similar to your Yanni reference - we used to watch W&G videos together when Em was little.

Going back to your DH's PP clowning at DHS earlier in the day... Please give him a pat on the back for me! That was awesome entertainment. I especially love the magic shot with Tink. :)

Great date night. Fireworks, photos and amazing food. You got some great PP shots of you and DH.

I had to look up 'wide berth' :lmao:

Really? Oooh! I love finding things like this where we need to use a universal translator. :thumbsup2

:headache: So much for your plans.

Well, I think the call of the ditch would have been too hard for me to resist, but it looks like it was an enjoyable evening, regardless.

We ended up leaving Epcot around 10 and made it back ‘home’ way faster than we had come.
All that for an hour and a half in EPCOT... and only 2 F&W booths? :rolleyes1

Oh well, you made the most of it! :thumbsup2

Tomorrow was MK day….and not a good day for DM…:sad2:
:sad1: uh oh...
