Flu Remedies

Anyone have a tried and true remedy for the flu? One of the guys I work with is miserable with it (and we all know how men are when they are sick!!).

I remember my Grandmother had some concoction with honey and whiskey in it but dont know the recipe.

Any suggestions?

I sometimes fix myself hot tea with honey, lemon and whiskey.

My Dad always has Whisky, brown sugar and butter - HOT - sounds disgusting but he swears by it. YOu can use Rum also, but being Scottish it's Whisky he prefers!
