Sorry we missed you Sandra, we didn't get there until about 12:45 as we had to make a stop in Kitchener. My sister and BIL showed up around 1:30.
The Cinderella group won first prize and I didn't see who won the next prizes as they did those separately. I was amazed at the work that went into the winner's entry. It looked like they had turned a rickshaw into the coach, adding white horses along the pulling handles and the prince was an adorable red-headed toddler and Cinderella was probably his "older sister"! Very cute! I saw a baby dressed up as Dumbo and he rode around in a "cage" built from a wagon that was so cute, too.
I got enough reading material to last me a while and collected lots of freebies like pens, magnets, frizbies etc. I entered all the draws I came across so maybe I'll win something. My 8yo nephew had his picture taken with the alligator which was clearly the biggest hit of the day for him.!
The crowds cleared out after the costume contest and at one point I sat down in a chair, closed my eyes, sipped on my free strawberry dacquiri, listened to the steel drum band and pretended I was sitting by the pool at some resort. Then Dh burst into my dream and it was time to go as we were all going out for dinner together. All in all it was a fun day.
