Waiting on updates. Very surreal to think my mother-in-law had considered changing her flight to today to get some rest and the rest of the family has been coming and going from that airport all week.

I plan trips for a non-profit, we send parents with life-threatening illnesses on trips with their family, and I have a recipient flying into FLL in the morning for a cruise. I'm worried about if this will affect flights into FLL into tomorrow and delay them at all. I'm also concerned that she's going to be freaking out by this, and what other options I have for them.

Where exactly is their cruise out of? It it is out of FLL then try and get them a flight to West Palm Beach and a car service to the port in Fort Lauderdale. If they are going out of Miami then Miami is the better of the two options.

What airline are they flying? Terminal 2 is Delta and Air Canada so unless they are flying those two I don't imagine the other terminals will be affected much beyond stricter security so they should be on schedule. If it is Delta I would get on the phone now and try to get them moved to the other airports and just schedule some extra time for them.
