Thanks, OP, for sharing this! I ran to our Staples and picked up one in white and one in black. I had been wanting to get one to use in my class for quite some time, and the price was right! My sister uses one in her class and it has lasted for quite a while. My neighbor took the other one for her DD. She has had one for a long time and it finally konked. She said that it had taken lots of abuse.

I got mine at Staples yesterday. It was the floor model. They had a price on it that said $99 reduced. Manager wasn't real interested in getting the floor model so I waited a bit. That price was great. It rang up at $57.

I got one for my wife last year.
She LOVES it.
She thought she lost it for a while but found it in her cosmetic trip bag. It really is super easy to use and does pretty decent video. I teach video production at the high school level and I really recommend for all my students to try and get one of these as an intro video camera that is always readily available.

I have the HD version, and I love it! I love the size, quality of the video, and how easy it is to upload the things I film onto facebook. (We do it mostly for the Grandmas who live far from their grandkids and want to see clips from soccer games or the moment our daughter FINALLY learned to ride a bike).

The recording capabilities are limited, but there is a wide angle lens available. It's nice to know it's in my purse or pocket, and it's available for *that* moment you want to capture.

I got DH a Flip Mino HD for Christmas. He really likes it. He recorded our Christmas display with it, and just for fun recorded a bowling party. He's going to splice the bowling footage together to make a funny video. Just because he can.

I am so excited to have gotten one of these. I had rewards dollars so I only spent $37!! I just want something lightweight to carry around with me and use here and there. nothing fancy. My boys are very excited to record their "puffles" with it.

I went back to the Deptford, NJ store today to get my Dad one. They had 5 left. It rang up as $40, down from $57 two weeks ago, so I bought all of them! Called four friends, and now they have a cool Flip for cheap!

Thanks so much!!!! I just happened to see this thread today & didn't think there was any chance of still finding one. Our local store was out but there were 2 in stock about 45 minutes away. Just got back & am so excited! Thanks for the heads up! This will be great for DS's baseball season & our upcoming trips. We don't need much footage time so this is perfect for us.

When i got to staples i did not see it anywhere...only the newer ones - i asked the guy and said i called etc. he said yes i have them in the back - i said why r they not out - said they are on clearance...no room to keep them out - Thats Crazy - how do u get rid of them...anyway

WOW! I came onto this thread since I want a video for my dd's HS graduation and my ds's 8th grade graduation. We also have a lot of summer vacation plans this year and my dd is playing in softball tournaments (as well as my son). My camcorder I have is when my kids were little (although still works SOOO BIG).

Anyway, I tried Staples online and didn't come up.

THEN, I see you are from SI!! SO am I. Can you tell me what Staples you went to? I wouldn't be so lucky that you went to the one on Forest Ave. would I? If so, I'm there tomorrow after work (I work at Wagner College).Thanks SOO much!

If I get a flip, it is downloaded to the computer, correct?
So, once on the computer, is there a way I can put it on
something to save, other than the computer?

Got home about an hour ago from Staples. Bought the Flip Camera. The listed prices was $62.50. I paid $42.50 with tax. I just love all you guys who share this kind of information. You have saved me some major dollars over the years.

I love the flip camera and got it at a great price, but I can not get my computer to read the camera's information to download the movie I have on it-Dell XP. I am not a happy camper. Maybe somebody can help.

I love mine. It's the Flip UltraHD. I even have a waterproof case for it when we take it to the beach (or down Splash Mountain)
