United just cancelled my Tuesday morning flight, from Dulles at 8:40am. Last night we had already decided to drive down, instead of reschedule flight over the weekend. How many of you had your flight cancelled? Just going to take the refund, and use it to pay for gas/hotel to get to FL. Wonder how many will just completely cancel their trip to WDW???

I'm afraid that we may have to cancel our trip if our flight is cancelled. We're supposed to fly out on Wednesday, so we're hoping for the best.

Is it this week or next "Jersey Week" at Disney? If it's this week......lots of people flying to MCO from the hurricane areas.....

We have an early AM flight out of PHL on Thursday. Fingers crossed that travel is back to normal by then, but the back up is a resi for a 1 way rental from PHL to MCO. I don't want to spend an additional 600 in rental fees and gas plus the time on the road, but I want a back up plan.

The wind must be hitting those gusts over 75 MPH right now, its loud outside.

Oh and this happened today just before dark

I am in Dover, DE, and we got lucky. Flights getting back online depend on many factors; can the airlines get the planes back, what about power outages, can airlines get employees back to the airport to man the counters and fly the planes with roads and bridges closed, etc.

To give you an idea, Atlantic City lost almost 9 blocks of their boardwalk...you can imagine how hard it is going to be for them to re-open a few casinos. Imagine an airport gearing back up.

We have a afternoon flight into PHL from MCO Thursday. Interested to see if it happens or not.

I was wondering what the impact would be on Philly due to the damage in Atlantic City, but they are getting their service back on very late tonight.

I think a lot of those airports are going to be impacted because it's not yet determined when LaGuardia is reopening because it sustained major damage from the hurricane. So I think the spillover of travelers is going into other airports on the eastern seaboard.
