Does anyone have any advice on an airline to choose from either Boston or Manchester, NH to Orlando, non-stop with 2 adults, a 3yr old and 1 yr old (who will both have their own seats)? We are going during Thanksgiving week and don't want to make any stops. Everything I'm looking at right now seems really expensive. Any advice? Thanks!:D

Delta is the big airline from BOS to MCO for direct flights. I fly them all the time. They seem to have the best schedules and their fares tend to be relatively reasonable (I don't know about Thanksgiving). American, and US Airways also fly direct. I know that AirTran (low fare carrier) flies between BOS and MCO, but I don't think all of their flights are direct (you might have to change in ATL).

As for MHT, I don't know too much about flights from there, but I think Southwest might fly direct.

We live south of Boston (between Boston and Providence) and we always fly out of Boston. I know that other nearby airports can be much cheaper sometimes but Boston has the most direct flights as far as I can tell.

We usually fly with Delta and usually pay $200 or $215. We've never lucked out and gotten the good sales. I just can't wait till much closer to by my vacation as I want good times and non-stop so I buy mine pretty early on.

Well, this year for our trip in Oct/Nov, after we firmed up our dates and resort, I started checking like I always do: Orbitz and Delta and Expedia and right here everyday.

One day at the end of January, I read a post here about AA having a big sale for people in the Northeast going in the Fall. So I ran over to AA.com and Orbiz.com and low and behold, I got in on the sale! I got 4 non-stop tickets at great times for a total of $410!!! That has NEVER happened to us before. We lucked out!

I guess what I'm trying to say is shop around and often at Orbitz and Expedia to see what they're going for each day. Read here too. If you're like me, then just book it if it's what and when you want it for or you could wait till it gets closer and they have sales but I just can't do that! Plus your going over a holiday so maybe prices won't come down and it will fill up quickly...

I believe Southwest flies out of the smaller airports in Hartford, Ct; NH, and Providence. They usually good deals but I don't know about non-stops.

Good luck and sorry I rambled!

We fly out of Manchester all the time on Southwest to Orlando. Prices are usually really great and the flights are non stop.

I second flying out of MHT. They have a few direct, non-stop flights to Orlando each day, and they seem to always have the best prices.

You could also check Bradley in Hartford, CT. We've flown out of BDL for our past two trips and I think it seems a lot less hectic than Logan. I check www.cheaptickets.com and then book on the airlines site. Boston and Hartford are about the same distance from us so I just chose Bradley because it looked a little calmer. Although for our next trip (end of Aug.) I'm checking MHT, PVD, BOS and BDL, to find the absolute cheapest flight. DH doesn't know we're going yet...so I'm trying to plan the cheapest trip possible. I already got the ASMu for $268 for 4 nights with the Fall Fling special and we have 2 days and a plus left on our old tix!! So now it's just trying to find flights for the 3 of us for under $500.

Good luck!!:D

We're going the week before Thanksgiving from Boston on Delta, nonstop, for $168 per person. That is the best price we've ever had on Delta. Usually we fly Southwest from Providence, also nonstop. Their schedule just came out yesterday for flights in November and December and I know they had some $99 each way deals. We have friends that go in the fall and don't get their flights until August or early September and last time they got $49 per person each way! Just check every day and I'm sure you'll come up with a good deal. :D
