Flexible refund policy for covid?

The DCL website is indicating that the Flexible Refund Policy allowing cancellation for any COVID-19 related reason is applicable only to cruises booked before December 9, 2022.

Wow that looks new to me. That is solid that DCL is honoring this policy for the life of the reservation if booked before 12/9/22. I applaud them for this.

This also tells me that with Flexible Refund Policy ending on cruises booked after this Friday 12/9 that this clears the way for the 2023 Jan-March itineraries to be released on Monday 12/12 for Platinum members

Interesting. It’s a tighter time-period, but I wonder if proof of the positive test will be required?

That’s how I read it. So I’m good for my 4 2023 cruises I booked prior to this change. The old policy says you can cancel if you’ve only been exposed but not confirmed positive. The new policy says you can cancel if you test positive up to 10 days before your cruise.

shall I worried if I’ve been close to a case ( it’s stressing since holidays are right here ?
would I need a positive test ? Or just as it’s been for a little while now cancel ?
don’t get me wrong I want this cruise but in doubt ( sure don’t want to be stuck in a cabin ) rather cancel posponed it

If you are already booked, the DCL website currently indicates that the Flexible Refund policy still applies. You can cancel or reschedule without a cancellation fee if you are exposed to COVID-19 within 14 days of sailing. Note that if you reschedule you will pay the current rate for the new sailing.
