Just curious, has anyone ever taken their meal from Flame Tree BBQ to Pizzafari.....to eat inside where it is cool?

Thanks?

Sure you can do that. the only problem is that they don't seem to have boxes or bags for carryout, so it's a long way to walk carrying a plate or a tray.

I did the reverse of this on my last trip and didn't have any problems. It worked out good because pizzafari opened before flame tree.

Oh, didn't think about that! The way the crowds can get in that area, there might be a good chance of spilling our food. Might just check out the distance and see what the crowds are like and decide from there. It would really be nice to sit inside and eat in the cool! :)

Glad to hear it has been done, even if it was in reverse. :thumbsup2 Did you have difficulty keeping from spilling anything? I keep thinking about how the drinks don't have lids and any little bump and they could spill easily.

BTW, I just figured out how to do more than 1 quote per post....not sure why it has taken me this long, but I'm proud of myself! :rotfl2:

I would just suggest that maybe you actually get something from the Pizzafari as well. A drink or something? And you could time the visit for when it's not that crowded.

And personally, I think Flame Tree with the shaded places is a very nice place for a meal, FWIW. Outside does not mean blistering hot. You might be surprised.

If you're on the dining plan you have to get the drinks at the same time you get everything else. Otherwise, get them at Pizzafari.

I have thought about doing this to, sometimes the air conditioning sounds more appealing then the view, especially in the heat of August.

We actually did this. Our family of 6. 3 wanted Pizzafari, and 3 wanted Flametree. So I stayed with the 3 of the kids, ordered their food, while DH and oldest son 19 went to Flametree. It really wasn't far, and I can tell you that my food was still hot when they arrived. So hot that I had to wait to eat the baked beans. So very doable without a lot of trouble.

I think someone should at least order part of a meal at Pizzafari if you're planning on taking up a table there. It just seems wrong to go sit at a random table somewhere without ordering.

Distance wise , it's not too far of a walk.

They are both owned by WDW so I see no problem. It isn't like getting food at Wendy's and taking it to McDonald's.

Actually, your scenario is different. You ordered food from Pizzafari and ate it there while taking up the table.
Imagine what it would be like if everyone who wanted Flame Tree barbeque came to Pizzafari to eat it.

Restaurantosaurus "may" be a little shorter walk.:)

Personally,I just couldn't eat my FTB ribs without enjoying this view from the "Discovery River pavilion"(One of the best views in WDW).:)

I think Restaurantosaurus would be a closer walk than Pizzafari from FTB. I don't think the walk worth it carrying the food though, I would just eat outside. What time of year are you going? If your going mid-July then I wouldn't but if it is a cooler season like December it would probably be more comfortable weather for outside dining.

And THAT is the best view while having a meal, in my opinion. Love it even if it's 110 degrees.

MTE! :thumbsup2

If the restaurant isn't crowded, I see no issue. But if I am standing there with my tray of food purchased at Pizzafari and I can't get an empty table because it is filled with people who have come in with food from other locations then I am not going to be happy...

Oh my! That view is awesome! Discover River Pavilion, huh? Where is that? We usually go down by the water behind FTB but the boys spend more time laughing at the birds than eating!

Yes, please tell us how to get to this spot, b/c it just sold me on eating outdoors! We're going in Dec, so it should be pretty nice to eat outside, unless there happens to be an odd cold front come through while we're there.

The "Discovery River pavilion" is just my term for the very last FTB "eating area" you can go to before there is no place left to go other than into the Discovery River.:)

The view was even more amazing at night back when DAK still had PM EMH.

You may even spot an alligator(very small:) from there at times.:)

When you see the "interesting:)" detail below in the ceiling of the "eating area",you will know you have reached "the spot".:)

I wondered about this too OP.

I love BBQ ribs, and the ones at FTB are decent. My family like BBQ too, but they aren't overly thrilled with FTB. I wondered about carrying food from FTB to Pizzafari or Yak and Yeti CS too. I think they might try Yak and Yeti CS and bring it to the FTB seating area by the river and meet me there.
