My dad spent 3 hours on the phone yesterday with Disney IT, to be told that an issue was fixed. Only he went to make a park reservation, and apparently it wasn’t.
The problem appears to be that my parent’s Disney account somehow got merged with an old account from when they lived in New Jersey (which was 13 years ago). So the system does not see him as an actual Florida resident anymore and will not allow him to make park reservations with his Florida resident AP.
Between the 3 hours on the phone, and having a now useless, but expensive AP, he’s very unhappy to say the least.
The IT person told him that the accounts were merged but that he fixed it. My dad told him to then delete the old account so it doesn’t happen again, but the IT person told him he couldn’t do that, my dad would have to. Problem being, my dad doesn’t know what the username or password of this mystery old account is.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
